Stellantis is not messing around

The TRX is back and it has an SRT badge. I have a feeling they have a lot more coming for more than just trucks.

Looks interesting. $100K price tag is not surprising, but at the number, I'd probably pass for something else.

I am actually kind of sad they are abandoning the SST HO. It has about the same power tuned as that TRX but the delivery is so much more linear.

100K is getting to be the norm for high end 150(0)s

As of right now the HO Hurricane fun might be more pushed to the Charger by Dodge that is now hitting Dealers. At least that is my thought process right now. The Charger still does not have an official Hemi announcement like Ram and the others have.

I am honestly surprised the charger hasn’t gotten the hemi back yet. I’m excited that the TRX is back though. I drive an f150 daily but if my budget allowed I’d 100% be in a TRX lol. Hoping this brings down the price of the prior TRX. By far my favorite truck. The Raptor R is way too much and Chevy is being lame not entering the “unnecessary powertrain option” truck market. Heck even if they did enter it they’d probably offer the least power since they are lame and only used the LT5 in the corvette. LT4 is down on power compared to the raptor R and TRX.

Well after going all in on EV's cancelling their best sellers dropping the V8 from trucks and then sitting back and watching their sales tank they suddenly reversed course before they hit the bankruptcy reef

They are rejoining the truck series after billion years of being away from it during its heyday years.

Good on them building a $100k plus truck that gets 8mpg and barely fits between the lines on the road.

How about rediscovering your 70's roots and building an affordable muscle car?

How about rejoining the big boys in the top Nascar series?

Never let the French run a North American car company they just don't understand the market.

I mean they do have a Hemi in the Drag pack not street legal version which does show that a V8 could kinda be squeezed in there but yeah I also would have thought something would be announced by now. The TRX is an amazing truck I drove one when it came out and it was one of the most fun vehicles I have driven and I am sure this new one will be just as fun.

At least Stellantis is listening to the people who want V8’s and cool vehicles. GM hasn’t listened to the performance opinions of their market in over 10 years.

If you have the $$$ you can have the cars they still make them

The CT4-V

The CT5-V

The Vette

Stellantis almost went over the bankruptcy cliff with their decisions of the last few years so apparently they were not listening until it was almost too late.

Re Hiring Tim Kananaskus or what ever his name is was their first step back in the right direction.
It also looks like they are listening to him.

While this is true that GM does have those options buyers are likely to go to competitors like Ford for the Mustang and Dodge for the Gas Charger that can get that performance but not have to spend as much money as the cars you listed above.

Tavares pretty much almost killed them yeah and once he resigned the new CEO righted his wrongs and Tim Kiniskus is back and authorized the return of SRT and is responsible for the Hemi return or the Hemi remaining in vehicles. So outside of the Tavares years King Nothing is not wrong and you are right when Tavares was at the reigns.

GM looks like they are abandoning this specific customer base though and leaving it to their competitors.

I’ve never understood gm’s resistance to putting superchargers on trucks and producing them. Ford did with the lightning and dodge with the trx have both shown its a solid market and you know the profit on those vehicles are sizable being they are niche. GM just doesn’t seem to have any will to innovate and go outside their comfort zone. Or they are too scared to build something faster than their flagship Corvette.

Still better than none and all of them hit C&D's 10 best list again.

It will be interesting to see how much of a demand there actually is for these type of vehicles. 800 hp trucks. Cool. Will I get rid of my '15 2LS for one? Heck no. I really like the high HP Vettes and I'd love to see a gm truck equivalent but nothing out there currently makes me want to spend $75K to $150K.
