The car is going to be awesome! Easily one of the coolest ZL1's around!

Congrats on the progress so far. Looking forward to seeing it all back together.
Thanks buddy... Feels like this last round of mods, new part designs, and re-work has taken another 3 months or so.... very excited to get her back on the road to enjoy her. Oh, and yes... and clean garage is a must around these parts

That's actually a REALLY cool idea! Commemorate the journey in a book. That way even when you can't or don't drive it, it's always accessible anywhere, anytime.
I know right

Although I am giving up on trying to beat Scott... I am very excited to be able to run straight E, and see what a proper valve job, + BTR Stage.I is worth on the DYNO. I will be making no pulley changes. Just those small changes and a bottom end that should now be happy at 1,000rwhp vs. one that is counting down the days.

My guess is 900rwhp on 14psi but we will see. Like always not aiming for a number, just interested to see what this combo makes... reliably.

The degree of "out of spec" and slop we found in this motor was crazy... could not be happier working with an amazing engine builder who takes his time, and is setting me up for maximum reliability.

I think there must be truth to the "post-covid" builds. I didn't pull a rod cap or anything on mine. Maybe I should have. Oh well. If it breaks, I'll build it again with more cubes. LOL

Your monster is going to be a lot of fun. And when you finally decide to do some 2650 or Whipple testing one day and make a lot of cool new 2650 parts, your rotating assembly will be ready for it.

You guys are killing me... I keep trying to blow my shit up!! I REALLY DO TRY!!!!

Especially since we have partnered with one of the best racing engine builders in the World, Sterling Engines out of Michigan for our 2026 Offshore Boat Racing season, having Cade Wilson at the helm of our new SuperCat boat will also have some amazing new products and packages for the LT4 & LT1 platforms with his vast experience while being a part of GM's launching Cadillac to F1.

I for one will continue to push Gabe to drive or ship his museum piece clean car to the East Coast for a track day at Road Atlanta. I'll even give him the Point By so I can get a full 360ş video of his car!

Great news.... the eagle has landed!

I didn't get any photos of the motor installed yet (was too tired) I'll get some tomorrow.
The morning started with my buddy Aaron and Matt coming over for help with the Monster Triple S clutch install (making sure we had the proper clearance / air gap)... preparing the car to receive the motor and then slipping her in!

A few take aways / advice from today's adventure.

1. Make friends with people smarter than you. It 's the only way
2. Lure them to your house with lots of energy drinks and pizza...
3. Always purchase the shim kit with your clutch kits (we used all but one of them) Try and keep some longer bolts on hand for the extra grip on that big-ol-stack-0-shims. (blue lock tight) is your friend.
4. Always purchase the remote bleeder with your (you'll thank me later)
5. Read the instructions with your Monster Triple S Clutch, and work hard to get the air gap within spec. if you don't you will be very frustrated with the results.
6. ARP SS 12-points are additive AF. That said, if you want some... hit me up, I have enough to build a small bridge.
7. Make sure you install the drain pipe from your PCV separator prior to installing your motor mounts. Or, like others has recommended... just remove it and build a better system. I likely will later next year.
8. BMR Motor mounts are awesome!
9. Install your motor mounts AFTER you mate your engine to the transmission.
10. Reminder, you'll need to drop your front cradle approx. 3" for things to go smooth. removed ALL bolts except the front bolt. We left that in with about 6 threads. you will want 1-2 bottle jacks to help support this if possible.
11. Your manual trans will need to be jacked up as high as it will go in the tunnel to help align the clutch splines with the output shaft of the trans. (be sure to remove the trans mounting bolts allowing it to raise easily)
12. Always purchase enough energy drinks to keep said friends in the garage, and not out searching for more energy drinks. This is a liability to say the least.
13. The THPSI 10-rib kit is awesome... I love it more every time I mess with it. The quality is top notch! The perfect blend of form and function.
14. Once the motor and trans have become one again... make sure you raise the front cradle before connecting / installing the motor mounts.
15. Did I already say that I love the BMR motor mounts? Just wanted to make sure...
16. Oh, dont forget to wear gloves when hammering in your pilot bearing. Otherwise your nice piece of oak lumber may slip out and cut the sh*t out of your hand which will piss you off the rest of the day because the cut will likley end up in the fu*king crease of your thumb. You know, the thumb you use for fu*king everything!?!?!?!
17. Will have an LT4 HPFP for sale soon...
18. Will have a TSP front and valley cover for sale soon...
19. I am sure there are alot more. Too tired to continue typing... enjoy a few more engine porn NSFW photos. More to follow!

Happy modding

Nice satin black paint work, too. Looks great with the ARP stuff. Very subtle, but makes a noticeable difference! My photographer wife is drooling over your pictures, too.

Edit: I just noticed that EVERY screw is ARP. You crazy. In a good way.
