Made in Taiwan for the majority and no worse than anything made by HRE. HRE simply tries to cater to a different crowd. If people are stupid enough to buy them, so be it. And yes, you can buy custom 2 and 3 piece forged wheels for less than $5K shipped to your door any day of the week from Signature or BC Forged.

Sorry, you need to have more money than brains to spend $20k on a set of wheels. There is no conceivable reason for that price, I don't care if they are made in USA.

Not sure about the present day HRE world. In the past they bought the barrels and bolted them together. It was not uncommon to have plenty of runout in those wheels. Maybe things have changed. The old saying, you get what you pay for, doesn't always apply. Sometimes the more you pay the bigger the issues......

I reached out to Forgeline without a response, so I may just end up going with another set of BCForged.

Some people can afford Koenigseggs and Ferrari F80s, these wheel prices are aimed at them, and I'm sure they consider them peanuts. While we may not like this sort of pricing strategy, IMO there's nothing wrong with it per se.

I agree, after doing a bit more research on HRE itself and the platforms they tend to support the pricing is right on par. I was just shell shocked when they sent me the invoice for ordering I said I think you added an extra 0 on accident haha

If you’re not dead set on fully forged wheels, the HRE FlowForms offer a ton of value for the money. I ran FF04s on my previous ZL1 and FF11s on my C8 Stingray, and both sets performed great. I’ve also seen FF11s on a ZL1—they look fantastic. The FlowForms do cut down on unsprung weight, though not as much as a true forged wheel, of course.

That makes my dream wheels (Apex VS-5RE) seem cheap in comparison. Now I have no complaints.

They've always been in that price range depending on the wheel. Crazy isn't it!

You can get SSR, Works, Volks, BBS. All 2 or 3 piece forged wheels in custom offsets for reasonable prices.

I have one piece forged Advans that I bought brand new for around $5k.

You don't have to break the bank for quality forged wheels.

Took a look and am pretty sure these are the most expensive OEM wheel’s GM offered (on the most expensive Z06 ) for some added info.
