Crazy expensive wheels!

Holy hell! I just got a quote for a set of HRE wheels for my ZL1 and they quoted me $20,000!!! Have these always been that outrageous, or is this a new trend? I guess when I saw a set on a Lamborghini that I fell in love with I should have put 2 and 2 together lol.

hre wheels and some of the other high end forged wheels are pretty steep in price but it depends on colors and sizes and design

check out forgeline also they make some nice stuff but hre forged wheels will always be my dream wheels !

Yeah same here, finally at a point in life where I thought I would pull the trigger, but $20k is crazy. I currently have BCForged and love them, so I may go their route again with something similar that i was looking for through HRE. BCForged are cheaper but their quality is good.

High Quality Wheels

Take a look at Forgeline wheels. They have many styles, options available.

They only have one design? "F01"?

What set of HREs were you quoted $20k for? I have a set of RC104s on my car that I was lucky enough to snag used, and I know their price has gone up recently, but I wouldn't expect them to be THAT much.

The last quote (and cheapest) I got from them:

That’s Brushed Dark clear center with Polished lip.
20” S101SC in those finishes would be $18,900 for a set plus shipping.

IIRC the forged Forgeline wheels' pricing is pretty outrageous as well, but it doesn't hurt to check them out.

BC Forged and Apex seem more reasonable for forged models.

I had a good experience with Variant. Although, in the interest of full disclosure: they're local to me and had a steel of a promotion going when I was shopping, which were both large factors in my decision.

HRE is smoking crack when you can get a set of fully forged wheels for $3500-4000.

Thanks deuce (weird name lol) I'll take a look at them as well!

I've watched Forgeline's prices for years, they are some of the best and strongest wheels out there but they are nowhere $20k. That's just rediculous. My GA1R Forgelines new are less than $2K each.

That seems about right for a two-piece forged set from HRE. Mine are Monobloks, so they're a good bit cheaper.

To second what many others have already stated, Apex makes some fantastic forged wheels at an affordable price. Like, $3-4k for a set. If I hadn't gotten a screaming deal on my used HREs, I would have gone this route.

That is only their flow form wheel.

All of their forged wheels are made-to-order and are for any application just like HRE.
