Will be there with PCA Schell Fest in Nov (11/22). Normally Edge Addicts but PCA is well run.. Register for the PCA event at https://clubregistration.net/. Open to all makes. COTA is a real F1 track (USGP this weekend actually) and it a great experience. Lots of run off and unlike other tracks there are different lines you can take. Long straights and fast sweeping corners you'll love it.

2026 may be the last year for private groups to run events as the track has announced they are going to a members track in 2027.

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) announced that beginning in 2027, the main Grand Prix track will be limited to its new members-only "The Circuit" club, along with select races and special events. The announcement was made in conjunction with unveiling plans for "The Circuit," a private members' club that will feature amenities like a fitness center, simulators, and a clubhouse.

Hopefully the 3 existing HPDE organizers that offer events at COTA will fall under "special events" (Chin, Edge Addicts, and Schnell Fest). I count 27 of those days this year (all Saturdays and Sundays) vs. the advertised minimum 250 days per year for members starting in 2027. Of course F1, NASCAR, and other races plus occasional repaving of parts of the track will have to be accounted for too but idk how many days that stuff typically takes.

It will be interesting to hear if any of the people running those 3 orgs can comment on the expected future of their COTA events for 2027.

Wow times have changed. I remember when Bobby Epstein complained the track didn't make money and couldn't pay for upgrading the surface. I did see F1 renewed through 2034. With Cadillac starting in 2026 the local crowd may keep growing.

Edit: and those member days may get boring with a handful at most out at the track. If I break away so that I have the track to myself sure I can get a best lap but its more fun to run with a group to me.

I’m going to try to run two of the three Chin weekends (no way I can make Easter weekend work).
