So they were way off.
At least they are working on it.

17 weeks and she's home. Needs some tweaking of the R door/fender/hood gaps but I'm quite pleased with how it came out. Better pics when I detail it to my satisfaction this weekend.

"One more week" apparently meant, "Two more months." Good grief. Sorry man, but I'm glad you finally got it home!

There were a number of different stories depending on who I talked to on any given dayand I had a long talk with the GM yesterday about how the stories were really contradicting and then the time estimating was garbage. But I'm happy with the car, they did good work.

Progressive was hard for the shop to work with, too. Everytime something else was broken they had to stop work and call in the adjuster who had to inspect and approve the further damage and that was a few days to a week. In the end the initial inspection and authorization had 4 supplements as further damage was discovered.

The total came out to 16K.

I'm glad it turned out to your satisfaction. That would really stink if it was late AND it was shoddy work. If you have to compromise, good work but late is not a bad deal overall.

I have been known to tell my clients "Fast, High quality, Low price...pick two"

Glad the op wasn't injured in all this and glad his car looks brand new. When I put the 1LE wheels on my SS it only took one hydroplaning experience to get me to switch out to Continental DWS06. Super happy with these tires. PS4S was next on my list"try 'em" list but right now I'm good with my Contis.
