HAHA, I hear ya... It's so frustrating when we travel to see what others are paying outside of CA...

Just for the giggles... I grabbed a 54g drum of E85r (99 octane) from PSC in PA... at $8.33/gal + $270.13 shipping, I figure I'll have fun burning through it before the end of this year. Then order more next spring when racing picks up again at my local track.

PROJECT UPDATE:

Hey guys, lots going on over here the last week... so I will stagger the updates.
First one, most important... my revised air deflectors for my ZL1 High Flow Crash Bars are done, as we spent the last 2 days assembling them, and packaging up all the pre-orders. First set is on my car now, photos below. I am SUPER happy with the combination of better fitment, air management, and finish, thanks to a new satin wrinkle on all parts. Makes them alot easier to clean and more resistant to damage.

That said... also made time to continue the tuning process, and I have some cool updates / data on all the changes made to the car!

Ok guys, still working on the tuning, but I thought I'd share the quick assessment on boost pressure comparing my old set-up vs. new...

OLD was with the Katech Standard Port + 8 rib (showing in two pulley sizes)
NEW is with the KONG XPORT + 10 rib ((showing same two pulley sizes)

Result... the XPORT + 10rib was worth 3 psi peak on the 2.4" upper and almost 3.5 psi peak on the 2.3" upper...

Although we have alot of tuning left to go I can tell you that the difference in power is VERY noticeable.

Should be able to strap her on a dyno in 3-4 weeks. Stay tuned

SWEET!!! I don't know what it is, but this design just has a cooler look to it, without regard to it's function. It looks like some F117-ish or something, lol.

Now I am, patiently waiting for the airbox scoop...

Thank you sir... I agree, the lines and angles not only work functionally, but as always were designed to ensure a clean aesthetic, with lines and angels that compliment the surround area... I always aim for the perfect balance of form & function... and when lucky, can get both.

I agree, the next step is matching "ram air scoop" with a similar objective as the velossoram, just bigger, better and designed to coordinate with our Gen.2 Crash Bar size and finish.... stay tuned

Waaaay off topic, but since radz is in here, what's up with this ZL1 subforum not updating? Posts made to threads aren't showing up. E.g., this thread says the last post was by radz, the stolen car thread doesn't match what's in the post, etc. The other subforums don't seem to have that problem, but this one does.
