Regarding the build, I think both the exhaust and the inlet are the restrictions. Right now, you are definitely pushing a ton of exhaust through a restriction. BUT you are also sucking through a straw trying to feed the big blower.

At 700rwhp+ the 103 and BG start to become very beneficial. I'd say even more so than the headers. Especially if you increase the blower speed with pulley changes. The 2650 will be trying really hard to bring in air through a small opening.

So yes, the headers will help get rid of outlet restriction, but you also have an inlet restriction, particularly if you increase blower speed.
So to conclude, do both at the same time.....

Looks like I hit that nail on the head.

My setup with just 10psi wanted a lot more fuel going from a 95 tb / standard RF to 103/BG combo. If it wants more fuel, then it's making more power.

For example, When I first did the Whipple with 8 psi pulley, cat delete pipes, LPE HPFP, LT4 injectors, LT5 tb, RF standard. It made 600whp and would run Full E(82%). When I switched to 3.375 pulley(9psi), I had to drop to E70. Then I did Big Gulp/103 and was limited to E45. So, I had to drop E content 25% just for those mods. I then did a 3.25 pulley and XDI +30 and keep it around E60.

Now before someone says, "why didn't you go port", well this was back when DI fueling mods was cheaper than port". THP and Atlas didn't exist.

Either way, Point is air inlet mods on a PD setup makes a significant difference!! Especially when you get 700whp + as previously mentioned.

As always great input King! It's crazy how capable it is to make big horsepower numbers with these cars. I was telling the tuner, these cars should have come from the factory tuned for E. It's like a whole new car. To be fully transparent, I'm probably going to have them install the 2 pulleys and kooks. Than when funds allow 103mm intake with throttle body and BG. Tuner I imagine should be able to remote tune for the 103mm without issue. Unless it's more difficult than i'm making it out to be (adding the 103mm bits and pieces).

It's a trip how close to the money you are with these estimations.

Kooks headers with high Flow cats and 103 mm snout/throttle body and big gulp set to be installed August 6th. Also changing out pulleys. Quick question for anyone that is still following along. How does the banks data monster get the ethanol content from the car. I know it’s from the ECU but how accurate is it. I tested e85 at Kroger near my house and it was spot on e85, but the data monster is showing e71%. How are you guys getting a full e85 or am i just reading into it too much.

The Banks iDash setup obtains it's information from the PCM directly, so as long as you enable flex fuel readings from the PCM itself it will get that info direct from the PCM which is getting it from the sensor directly. The correlation between readout from the iDash vs. something else like say HPT is actually a 1/1 measurement. What I read on my iDash I ALWAYS read from HPT as well. In my case I see a content reading of E81- E82 from the pumps at the station. That is what both of my data readouts always show so it is indeed accurate.

From my understanding andknowledge of the land after having had many conversations with folks who reside out there, Texas sees more diluted E85 compared to the yellow state. So the E71 reading you are getting is more likely to be accurate than the other way you were testing it.

In Arlington TX I get E70 at Racetrack but in Mansfield another 8 mile drive I get E 85 at Kroger. I Adjust the # of gallons at Racetrack E70 to make the mix to equal what I'm wanting such as 40%, 45% or 50%. Of course if you are trying to do E85 from E70 then you're sool lol.

haha yeah I'm guessing I will just need to buy a barrel and try and mix it to get as close to 85 as possible. Your username looks awfully familiar. Were you around a lot during the ls1.com forum days?

For a while to learn from others mostly. Got into 4wd trucks on the street just for traction. So I moved to performancetrucks.net of which Parish and Choda were members and others here I'm sure. At one time had the quickest 4wd Silverado 5.3 turbo in the country that would smoke a C6 ZO6 with DR's in the 1/8th at the strip. I prefer quick but not fast in a truck so no 1/4mi. Not fast by todays standards but it was a really fun sleeper. Sounded and looked stock with bling 20's, no warning whatsoever lol. But I'll always love me some Camaro's till I die.

Well after this last round of installs (kooks, BG, 103mm, pulley) final numbers are 900rwhp, and 800tq. Go to pick it up tomorrow. Super excited to finally be done with this portion of the build and ready to drive it.

So, 2650 with BG, 103, headers and ethanol for the win! These numbers make me very excited about finishing my car. Very, very nice, my friend!! Congrats!
