I must have missed your injextor failure. What happened? Was it just one or multiple injectors?

#1 injector failed. Wet intake and exhaust valve. Wet spark plug. Low fuel pump pressure prior to starting it back up and a seriously NASTY rich backfire out of the exhaust while it tried to run. I mean it stunk of unburnt E85 along with those backfires. Cylinder #1 reads a current misfire on the counter as well upon log reviews.

I pulled the rail from bank 1 and the injector tip was still weeping fuel out of it and coincidentally the tip/ nozzle area of it looked incredibly clean compared to the rest. Like it self cleaned itself while it was running like garbage from dumping out so much fuel.

Still in the middle of the drama of trying to get the injector replaced. Unfortunately I have to deal with XDI direct. They only do email so even trying to get anything done quickly is not happening quickly (trying to get a replacement injector quickly).

Hey buddy, I ended up running new fuel lines for a cleaner under-hood look, and for the possibility I exceed 1,000rwhp in the future. that said, I can help you with the parks to connect to the OEM set up also. Shoot me an email so we can hammer this out!

Finally finished my fuel filter setup!
Had to drop the tank twice due to a potential issue with the DSX pump, and then had to wait forever for one last fitting to show up. But it’s all buttoned up now.

Went with a Fuelab filter mounted under the car, happy with how it turned out.

Here are a few pics of the final setup:

Bravo! Great looking set-up! That turned out really nice!
Sorry to hear you had to drop the tank twice... :( that really sucks.

Thanks, Gabe! Appreciate it. Yeah, dropping the tank twice wasn’t ideal, but at least it’s done now. I can finally stop smelling like E85 every weekend..

So after letting the car idle on the lift for about 15–20 minutes, I noticed the Fuelab filter gets really hot, way hotter than expected. Even though I mounted it away from the engine bay to avoid that heat, it seems like the underbody area is getting heat-soaked from the exhaust and cat right underneath. The whole floor panel in that area gets warm.

I’m now thinking about cutting a few vent holes into the front part of the underbody panel to let some airflow in while driving. Also looking into adding some heat shielding around the filter and maybe isolating the bracket a bit since it’s aluminum and could be conducting heat into the filter too.

Would be interesting to know, has anyone else noticed the same issue?

@Gabe your setup looks super clean also! Would love to see what your thermal camera shows in that area after a drive. I’m sure you’ve already got a smart fix figured out..

Hey buddy, thats some great feedback... because the fuel filter is now covered, it's more work to check that temp, but I will and report back. I did heat sleeve all of the lines for just that reason.
