What did you do to the rear mounts?
Hey Geoff,

So I recall that maybe you were one of the guys who had an issue with the BMR rear mounts? There were a couple guys who either had the brackets tear or bolts broken. My poly bushings were deformed, no surprise, and making noise. Knowing what the other guys went thru I made a new mount.

Here's another BMR rear bar issue:

I believe my modified OE SS 1LE FE4 brackets with the Pedders bushing offer a large increase in mount rigidity. The result of this is it makes the bar more effective>>>more reactive and stiff. I fought oversteer after this mod, ended up going full stiff up front on the Hotchkis bar and full soft on that BMR bar. I had a track weekend last September. I worked on tuning the bars on Saturday with a set of Euro Goodyear SuperSport R's then on Sunday I bolted on some fresh 305/30-19 3Rs and destroyed my previous best. And I feel I had more to knock off but ambients rose quickly throughout the day. Only change from previous PB was the new rear mounts and tuning the bars. I think full stiff upfront is a good move on its own because it minimized camber loss due to shitty MacStrut dynamics on track. Front tire wear was reduced.

Yep, I broke a mount and the other was cracked.
Got another set on there now, removed bushing material where it meets up to the subframe. I don't have to grease it as often as before.

How do you grease the Pedders bushings now? Disassemble or it's not an issue?

yeah, it's been a bit. Good to be back

(shhhhhhh.........I've got an SS 1LE M6)

I greased once a year, yeah, disassemble. I'm currently on the Hotchkis rear. I didn't like the relationship of the endlink to the BMR bar at full soft. Might not matter but I thought the matching Hotchkis bar was possibly the correct rear bar for the front Hothckis.

SS 1LE, Oh Snap! haha

With the Hotchkis bars on both ends, do you still run front full stiff and rear full soft on the track? That sounds more like an autocross setting.
I've noticed that since I started running SC3Rs that the rear is a bit loose coming out of corners under power, I'm at stock power. The front has plenty of grip, this is on a shorter Miata type track, faster tracks there's not an issue.
Hotchkis front and BMR rear, both in middle hole. I've been thinking of going one loser on the rear or one stiffer on the front.

It feels good to be back in a 1LE

I ran at the track two weeks ago, ran full stiff up front, mid at the rear with both Hotchkis'. Felt good but I was on 295/30-19 Michelin Mustang Challenge slicks so not a good comparison to my previous fast runs on 305 squared 3Rs. Those slicks were not faster than the 3Rs but they wore really great. Medium compound. Gonna be back on those 3Rs for The Roval next month. I think I'll leave the Hotchkis rear on, might go a half step stiffer for fun.

The car put the power down very well on those narrower slicks even with my LT1/A10 making great power with the super cool temps, mid 40s in the morning. Otherwise, it's always a challenge even on wider tires.

The Hotchkis rear bar mounts are already making noise! Gonna regrease but I may have to figure a more robust mount for them also.

Looking forward to a new build thread on the new car!
