Just got my LT2 IM snout ported… I’m now thinking I should port the LT5 TB. Not sure what the gain is before ported and non-ported LT5 TB on a ported LT2 IM

I just installed my ported LT2, ported 87-95 Katech adaptor along with a ported LT5 TB. I haven't dyno'd her yet, but I did do a street tune. Based on my experience, do it!! It's all about how the porting is done and who's tuning the car. Most of the people that are saying not to do it, haven't had it done, they're just going by what is posted. Not saying that the previous poster hasn't had the same setup, but just saying.

Maybe now I understand why you’re recommending a ported 95tb.

I saw Jannettys last post that the tb tables were recently added to hpt. Prior to this, I found the 95mm tb and ported 87tb were at the limit before needing massage other tables to compensate. I found the tradeoff of porting the 95mm tb not being there but perhaps that not being the case now. I guess I should buy another ported 95mm as I had soler 95 and pray 95 units before for my own testing.

https://forum.hptuners.com/showthrea...e-body-vs-95mm

One of the few comparisons for TBs. 10hp on 416ci that I would assume has heads and cam and this is comparing a stock 87mm vs 103mm.
