When I went in, they initially only same the BCM campaign, I showed them the letter for the TCM update and it took them a bit but they did find it, I think they said it was a "Bulletin" and not a "recall" so it was in a different spot than usual.. Either way the paperwork I got shows they flash both the BCM and TCM...

It actually looks like the TCM reprogram is a recall and the Security Update (BCM reprogram) is a bulletin...

So, to continue the off topic A10 discussion. My bro in law has an A10 in his GMC AT4-X and has the recall notice for the lock up. He contacted two local dealers this morning about the software update to "monitor" the A10. Both dealers told him they were instructed to do nothing until a second letter goes out on the recall. Now, whether that means GM is in process of releasing a hardware update or not...we will see.

From feedback on the A10 lockup FB page, some who have had the A10 software update still had a lockup. Seems the update does not always give the 10k mile threshold prior to lockup.

Same here, ZLE manual transmission, and 100% agree with service dept. My letter says it’s for a security enhancement. I assumed that meant theft prevention.

I got the recall done, this morning. 2024 2SS1LE with 4,497 miles. I’ve only put a few miles in, since the update; no differences noticed, thus far.

I was told that it would take most of the day to perform this BCM update, I was under the impression, based on this thread that it would only take 30min to an hour. Should I simply contact a different dealer?

The BCM work, by itself, takes less than an hour. I had mine done this morning.
