Ted.
Ted, any update on how the Goliath and 70s worked out? Both in terms of headroom and low rpm performance?

I figured if I had you watch that it may answer all your questions.

If not I am open for discussion.

The low speed Idle control is a challenge but I concurred it handily, it runs and drives better than stock.

Thanks for following.

Yes- a lot of good info in there. Thank you.

I'm just on the fence between a Goliath with +50s or +70s, versus an Atlas setup with 1050s. I'm ultimately aiming for 1k at the wheels for street fun, roll racing and some trips to the strip or half mile without eating the stock bottom end.

From examples I've seen, it looks like the +50s would get there on E, but would need to mix in some 93, while the +70s should be able to handle full pump E at that power level.

The Atlas would obviously get me there with full pump E, with room to spare, based on what you did with the "super terminator" build.

With my current setup, the Atlas & 1050s or the Goliath & +70's would cost about the same, as I still need both a 2650 lid and valve covers to fit the atlas port plates.

I like the idea of just keeping it DI, both for the extra power and the stealthiness. But I also like the idea of adding a smoothboost with the Atlas one day and being able to dump boost on 93 based on E content. (And whatever other cool bells and whistles Dave comes up with eventually).

I guess my question for you would be- if you had to pick one to run 1000whp with full pump E, which would you choose and why, assuming the cost is roughly the same in my situation.

Sidenote- for the lowside I'm going with the DSX in-tank, as that seems like another very clean and easy setup from Dave that just works. I like that it's PWM/returnless, too, with apparently plenty of headroom for my needs.

Thanks for joining the conversation again, Ted! Much appreciated!

There is no debating, DI makes more power then DI PI mix or PI in that order.

I have mad respect for DSX and the products we have installed.

I like the OEM like options when ever possible.

I am still a fan of the XDI twin pump system even with all the challenges, once I sorted our all the shortcummings, lubrication, belt slip, and a few others.

I think for what you want to do just duplicate my build.

We can get you a set of 70s out today

By the way I have an XDI twin pump system for sale.

Port has become just as expensive as DI. If you're on a stock cam, port makes sense if you need to push the car hard and want to run full E85. Otherwise, if you're going to cam the car, Goliath + XDI 30/50/70's is the right answer as Ted has illuded to if you want to make the most power. (for 99% of builds in my opinion)

Thanks to you both for the input. It is much appreciated and confirms where I was leaning, but since I don't build and tune these every day I am grateful for both of you guys' thoughts and advice.

How much for the twin pump system? I'm highly interested.

Doing a Goliath/XDI 50 combo this weekend. The port has its place, but I'm with Ted I really like the stock style stuff and we have the products to support alot of power DI only.
