LOL, I have never heard them called swim goggles before, now I won't be able to unsee nor unhear that comparison! I have really wanted a set of the Auto Addict lights, but for some reason I haven't pulled the trigger on them yet. Probably because I'm not looking forward to removing the rear bumper to install them.

I absolutely hated them. Auto Addict's C8 clones, and the best part is the white LED reverse is at least 50% brighter than the stock ones.

Now I hope they last... considering picking up a spare set.

Looks good but you should add the smoked rear reflectors to finish out the look... https://www.phastekperformance.com/h...6-2021-camaro/

Having a spare set is wise, electrical aftermarket parts are riskier. I have a spare LED side market kit, too, even though it looks like I hit the jackpot with the ones I've had working flawlessly since late 2018.
Yeah I had a '17 2SS 50th, and that backend was perfect. These are close enough... boxed up the goggles, and put them on the shelf with the rest of the take offs. Hopefully I never need them... but at half price right now, I am tempted to pick up another set.

I know I know... I bought them, but I could not f'in find them when I had my local speed shop swap them in.

I'm the absolute worst when it comes to "I'll put this <thing> right here so I'll be able to find it later", and never being able to find it again until I randomly come upon it much, much later.

I'm sorry!! After I heard it too... every time I opened my garage door, I cringed at them.

They are on sale at Phasetek however, like half price!!! Go go go! My shop charged me $200 for the install, and since I have a tiny 1970's garage, I decided that was worth it instead of trying to fight with it in very limited space.

You had a speed shop install tail lights? If I asked mine to do that they'd tell me to kick rocks and do it myself

The rear bumper has to come off with the stupidly redesigned 2019+ back end, and it's super easy to break the plastic center support tab (under the 3rd brake light), so I don't blame him. Swapping taillights was indeed a breeze on the 2016-2018.

Removing the bumper is something I know I *could* do, and the wiring is easy from a RF EE's point of view, it's just that those center tab / support piece can be easy to break as reported by a lot of people. I can be rather hamfisted at times with fiddly things.

If I had a full size garage, an assistant, or a lift, or all the above, I'd probably have done it. But since I don't have any of that, and I trust this place as they've worked on my Audi's, and 911S, and have a "GM guy" on staff, I figured I'd let them do it. Plus $40 for a good foam bath / wash is cheap so I don't have to waste my time on a Saturday.

Also, the older I get, the more I'm of the mind of my time is worth more so I'd rather be doing something else, like driving it.

I think the autoaddict tails look great! I picked up a set of the Velox (red) autoaddicts for my 16. I think GM really dropped the ball on the 6th gen tails. Both versions. The smoked 16-18's look pretty good, but I only like the smoke on red or garnet. On my Hyper.....really wanted to keep the red, so went autoaddict.

Got mine from Auto Addicts last year on sale. Did the replacement myself and I'm not a little guy. No lift. Not difficult but time consuming. Satisfying when it's done and it works!

Auto Addicts has 5% coupon for new customers so it'll come down to $380.
