Very nice sir! The LEDs make a huge difference just themselves

Anybody have experience with putting under hood emblems on? I have a cool set of the metal Camaro logo with the red white and blue stripes that fit in the under hood indention liner. What's the best way to install it? Remove hood? Use a spray adhesive or clear silicone RTV adhesive because of the heat? Ideas please!

Is this what your talking about for under hood liner emblem.

If it is, YES, Your going to have to remove your hood liner from under side of hood, first remove your 2 under hood heat extractors, then just remove the 8 christmas tree clips and slide out the liner from the 3 slots at the back of the hood, be careful that hood liner will tear easily, very flimsy, get somebody to help you take it off so it doesn't bend.

After i took mine off, I sat it on a big table and used clear silicone adhesive to secure polished CAMARO frame and the red, white and blue plaques, not hard to do at all, just a little time consuming, making sure frame and plaques were lined up perfectly.

Take your time, that adhesive stinks and can be a little messy, BUT, dries clear and smell eventually goes away.

Yeah this pic is from my 2019 2SS, shouldn't be too much different for the 2017 2SS, other than the 2 heat extractors, than it was changed to what's in my pic in 2019, christmas tree clips should be the about the same

2024 Summit White SS Convertible

New Wheels, Side Markers, and Exhaust Tips. I like the white wheels with the paint job and the side markers look much better than the stock. Exhaust sounds great. Looking at a diffuser next, what do you all think? Any recommendations for style or brands you have had good results with?

The Stars and Stripes decal looks so badass. I want one in off white and clear for my white Camaro.

2024 2SS Nitro Coupe

I added some custom Golden carbon fiber to the interior to add some contrast to the all black carbon fiber, I think it turned out really well, also wanted to change things up and do something completely different and that would be remove the illuminated camaro door sill plates and install the Shock and Steel illuminated door sill plates, rather hard to find, since they only came on Shock and Steel editions, Oh Yeah, I have more custom Golden carbon fiber coming tomorrow, will install and post it soon.

Sorry a few of the pics decided to post sideways, that's not how they looked in my phone.

It should stay on for quite a while, as long as you properly prepped the surface the carbon fiber pieces went on, I used isopropyl alcohol and made sure to scrub all areas thoroughly, after I applied all my pieces, I went back over each one pressing down on them from edge to edge inside to outside with my hands and fingers, making sure they all completely adhered to the surface, even took my finger nails and tried to pry up on the edges to peel them and they were really stuck on, so as far as hot weather goes, it shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as the surfaces were properly cleaned and or prepped, If your having an issue with pieces peeling off, pull them off and re prep surface then use 3M adhesion promoter, don't use too much, that stuff is like contact cement, as soon as you re apply your pieces they'll stick immediately.

If your car is parked outside and a bit concerned and weather is decent, you can always open your windows a bit to let the heat out, If your parked inside a garage, then there is no need to worry.

Exactly what I have and want to do. Taking off the liner sounds much easier than talking off the hood. Since you used the silicone adhesive have you had any issues of them falling off due to the engine heat? Thank you for the insight!

Nope, Absolutely no issue what so ever of them falling off, even though it gets pretty warm under the hood, just make sure to put a decent amount of silcone (don't glob it) on the backs of each plaque and around the outside edges of the frame, after you take liner off take your time getting everything lined up perfectly square, because once that silicone dries, it'll be very hard to get them off without tearing up your liner.

Looks good, nice mix, red carbon fiber accents over black carbon fiber, not sure how much more red carbon your willing to do, I'd a little more, like the side window defroster (top outer edges of top dash), steering wheel center air bag ring and steering wheel button trims and dashboard vents, just a thought.

If your willing enough, you can go on Ebay and look up red carbon fiber kits, there are sellers, BUT, There in China and they have some sweet looking red carbon fiber full interior kits, That's where I found my Gold carbon fiber, no company in the U.S makes or sell that Gold color.
