It wasn't "today" but today is the day I'm showing y'all my Hendrick Motorsports inspired stars & stripes decals I added to my factory stripes. Designed these in Illustrator and cut them in gloss black vinyl. It's the perfect ghosted look, revealed depending on how the light hits it. Stripes continue on the back too. Also added some old school 376 badges. I know some won't like them but I like the nostalgic Chevy vibe.

Clean Up

Over the weekend I put overlay letters on the fuel rails, cleaned and treated the convertible top, buffed out the garage scrap, clay barred and polished. Started ceramic coat on hood.

I think we do, but I can list a whole lot of things I'd rather do than deal with the NJ DMV, if you got the time

You made the decals? That's impressive! Where did you get the "376" badges?

Both very tasteful additions, looks good!

Yes. Started by taking a straight down photo of the hood from a ladder to use as a guide in CAD. Drew the design in CAD first right over the photo. Once I was satisfied that I had the general design, I could plot them full scale on paper to use as test templates. I'd lay those on the hood and decklid to check fit, curvature, size, etc. After a few iterations, having to make some tweaks each time to get it just right, I exported it from CAD to Illustrator and had my graphics dept. cut the vinyl. With pre-space film I was able to install them with a squeegee using the wet method. Definitely a lot of work but I love the results.

Found the peel and stick 376 badges on Amazon. They come in black or white. Not a bad price... I just hope they hold up in the elements.
