Well that sucks. Maybe doesn’t allow cheap programmers but allows GM certified expensive ones as gm said let’s techs to obviously do their job. But another layer of protection I guess. Still have the rest of my security layers intact

What if we disconnect power to the OBD2 port? Will that stop communications with any devices to the car/BCM/etc.?

No, I tried that. Pulled the OBD port fuse. The programmers power up the port, when plugged in.

Sorry for continued silly questions - just brainstorming...

Is there a communication wire in the port we can disconnect? Is there a way to interrupt the communication with a remote switch or something?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS, REGARDLESS. This looks like it's been an expensive exercise, but I, for one, appreciate it.

Someone posted the wiring diagram, yes there are several possibles. Trying not to cut wires. But at this point, moving/hiding and adding a lock to OBD port is critical.

The updates on the software progress are much appreciated TurboC3!

For awareness, I've just included an additional security lock feature to the hood latch handle, from inside the vehicle, complementing (layering) many of the previously outlined solutions from many of the Camaro6 posts.

Got the update today, as promised no issues with it being tuned. Would be nice if we found out what this was actually for.

I got the update a week ago. The one thing I noticed is that unlike before it does not automatically lock the doors after a few seconds the way it used to. I have also not been able to locate where on the preferences menu you can turn it back on.

Noticed the same thing. It’s in there if you dig a little.

Were you guys able to turn it back on somehow in the settings, or did GM remove the feature in this update altogether?

Service advisor didn't know anything about the update. I've yet to go through the settings to see what else changed.

Here’s a contradiction data point, mine only reset the lighting color. All the features I’ve quoted everyone on above still work and are in my settings page still

Settings - Vehicle - Remote Lock, Unlock, and Start

Nothing reset there for me and nothings missing, tried holding the unlock button and the windows did go down
