I had no settings change when they did the update. Is that normal? I have a 1SS so no Ambient lighting, but my gauge cluster still had the oil temp up, and my custom drive modes were unaffected. I had it in Tour when I brought it in, so not sure on that.

I had the update done today. Other than turning the ambient lighting back on, I didn't notice that any of my other settings had changed.

Got the update today. Took maybe 45 minutes . No issues with anything else. Not going to leave the car on the street at 3 am to test though..lol

After the update...Bad news. 12min and a programmer= new key. It pulled the pin in 2min then 10min to program...SAD.

@turboc,
Does anything you have mentioned empower thieves to greater success? If so, I ask that you edit your post. That said, thank you for testing it out! It sucks that you were able to get around it. That said, does it now just take longer? Prior, I would hear that a new key only took a minute or less to program. |

Being careful not to teach pos thieves anything. But 12min is how long all/most current GM keys take to program. I think I am missing something. I need to know exactly how they are starting the car in 1-2min. Please PM me how, so I can do better testing. Just saw a post on disabling the horn, step 1 maybe?

Just got the update and one thing I noticed is that double tapping unlock to roll the windows down isn't working.
Service advisor didn't know anything about the update. I've yet to go through the settings to see what else changed. |
