Just to clarify, the guy did say it just clicks, there isn't even a "slow crank".

Unless no crank is just a really bad version of it.

I think I’ll try the ground option and where that goes. It kinda sucks because I never know how long I’d be stranded for. Once it was 45 minutes before the stupid thing would start.

Yeah, that's not good.. Hopefully the ground solves the problem for you... I wonder why the service tech claimed that reason ?? Yes, it sound like a lame excuse but.. The starter doesn't look overly corroded does it...
I've luckily never had a hint of a slow/no start condition ...I've got 10,000 on the clock now..So it obviously sits more than it's run...

It was actually the service foreman who claimed I don’t drive it enough.

This is my 2nd 6th gen convertible (a 2016 and now one that looks a lot like yours), and there is definitely a parasitic drain that runs all the time on these. I put mine on the trickle charger if it goes more than a week without being driven.

I think he is "Kind of" correct. When he says drive it more, he means that you need to keep the battery charged. If it still dies after you trickle charge it, then it is probably the battery.

I've left my 2020 2SS for 4-5 weeks without being driven with no ill effects... I now have a trickle charge on it to try to maintain my battery a little better... Not driving enough is no excuse for car issues...

It is a convertible issue. Mine will 100% be dead in a month.

No starting issues yet (knock on wood) on my 22 with 10-11k miles on it.
Not a Camaro but I bought a new 2022 Silverado truck. In less than 5000 miles the starter and battery had to be replaced.
