You should flee Commiefornia! There are better places to live and work.

Agree fully. Issue is for some it is not that easy. Take me for example. I can sell my house, retire, and pay cash for a house in another state, twice the size and have cash in the bank. Problem is I then loose my kids to my exe and will need to shut down my company. I only stay because of my kids. If I could take them with me, I would leave in a heart beat.

Back on track:
Looked at mine in the garage today and thought I need to go for a drive and schedule a track day for some fun.

Can't say I knew that there was an air filter monitor on these cars.

My '16 1LT did not have it. Not sure if the function was added after the refresh and/or if it was only on the higher trim lines.

Went ahead and did the cabin air filter too. I had forgotten what a pain that is!

That makes 2 of us! Although my ‘17 only has 14,000 miles on it so that’s probably why I haven’t received a filter change reminder lol…

Yeah if it goes by mileage only then it would take awhile for it to come on for a lot of us. I know with oil life it takes time into consideration because mine always goes to 0 in the spring despite having maybe 1200 miles on it.

Hey man you're lucky! The roads are still white here and it's been pretty cold lately. I'm waiting until we get a few solid rainstorms in March to clear up the salt and then we're good to go. I hope I didn't forget how to drive stick

Yeah, we lucked out on the west coast for sure. Had a ton of rain the past 1-2 weeks washing away all the crap they put on the roads for the freezing temps we did get. The temperatures are back up to not freezing at nights, more pouring rain the next few days, with some 10ºC sunny days in the forecast for next week.

Work's been super busy and stressful, with my stress reliever parked it's been a loooong winter!

I hear ya, while my truck I drive during the winter is also stick, there's just a touch of difference in power on tap =P

So the past week I did headers, E85, and a tune. Sounds great and loud at WOT, but pretty stock sounding when not. I definitely can feel the power difference!

Video of a cold start. Camera stopped recording when the bluetooth connected to the car lol so no revs. https://youtube.com/shorts/WUx9_1Ecf...vUSRzvT2TU6x7d

Feels weird driving it in February, but hard to argue with the weather outside. Roads were clean and mostly dry. Was 10-11ºC according to the car.
Car itself was dirty, though. Need to address that (haven't cleaned it since I put it away last year!)

Looks and sounds great. Enjoy the roar. I have a very similar setup, except I have the S-Type NPP. It gives it a little deeper exhaust note over the stock NPP.

Looks great regardless. You're right through, it has been a long while without some 6 speed therapy lol. Usually I can sneak it out a few times, but it's been pretty consistently cold.
