Fun proposition, but would require an open mind and trust on both ends and a sacrifice of time in the name of science:
Build the next car you mentioned just like you plan. Then, get it on the dyno and do an online tuning session with Megahurtz or KingLT1. After that, let your brother do his tune. If we see an extra 100rwhp over what King or Megahurtz can do, then we'll all learn something.

But... since you are in ATL, stop by Road Atlanta Feb 15th weekend as I will have both cars there on the track. Come take a ride and see them both for yourself... see if there is more to the car than what I say, or less as others insinuate. |

I'm just waiting for the draggy or updated 1/4 mile time slip. 790rwhp should be flirting with 9's with 145mph trap speeds.
I simply don't think its possible to make 790 rwhp with a stock blower, lower pulley and a big gulp intake on E40. Oh and the stock fuel system. It would basically be the only ZL1 to ever do it. Hell it would be the only LT4 to ever do it. Even if you're targeting .88 lambda because its a track only car, the stock fuel system isn't going to handle E40 at 790rwhp. I think you have a quick car and the cooling mods keep the power in the car longer. But I simply do not believe 9 out of 10 dyno's would show close to 790 rwhp. And the one that does, is mis calibrated or something is wrong. Gearing is changed. Wheels are significantly lightened or height is changed by a lot. Tires are made of paper. I mean something has to be off. That said, if you post up 9's at over 145mph track speeds or 60-130 draggy times in the upper 5's. I'll be the first to congratulate you and beg to see your tune file, data logs and how to duplicate your cooling setup. None of this is said with malice or rudeness. So please don't take it as an attack. It's just a really tough thing to believe. Best of luck at the track this week!

The number in my signature was made with a BTE 38% cam lobe, DSX Low side, 103 NW, Big gulp and X-port. With 2" headers going into 3 " pipes single gesi cats and stock muffler. I have built quite a few engines always looking to make the best possible flow of in and out exhaust.

![]() With only the 2650/103/RFBG/91-oct/.82-lambda my car was dropping low side into the 50s with the stock 90mm upper. And that was probably only worth around 650. JLS was having issues on a effective/simple combo', too. The videos speaks for itself, and why there is so much skepticism, IMO: This was a cool build series documenting things pretty well.

You see... in Racing there are those who follow the trends, and the one everyone is trying to figure out how they did it in the first place. For Decades in Stock or Spec series racing, I've been that ONE when it comes to finding the power where others didn't look. When the roads clear up... I will Dragy this bitch. I'd like to know what it does too!. |

Well I screwed up... I finally changed my Green Belt after having it sit on the hook in my trailer for six months, and to make it easier, I decided to upgrade my RotoFab to the Big Gulp, so back to the dyno I go on Saturday. Anyone in ATL area is welcome to join me, I will order Pizza and bring the beer. Send me a DM and let's have some fun with this!
THEN... I will Dragy this Bee'yotch! |
