Arrow Standard vs. X-PORT

QUESTION: Has anyone on taken an old standard KONG port, or standard KATECH port and UPGRADED to the new KONG X-PORT?
If so, may I ask your results?
Would love to see some before / DYNO sheets with mod list.

Did Kong himself say it was worth anything? It does look a lot nicer even though you would never see it.

Yes sir... he says he has done alot of them... I don't recall the power gains, but with my particular set up (boost drop up high) I think I would loose 25rwtq down low and gain 25rwhp up top... I don't recall he exact answer but I will ask again soon. I was hoping to see some end user data, as I continue to consider this...

FWIW Kong and Jokerz will both ALWAYS say it’s worth power with zero proof. I have $1500 in credit card receipts to back up my claim lol

Gabe, you and I are pretty close on our build. I went with the X-port and I will say this. This car continues to pull even harder in the higher rpm range and I think that is attributed to to better flow thru the SC. looking at our TQ differences your comment seems to make this true. It pulls plenty hard off the line and the SC runs at 15 psi. I run a .660 lift on the BTR cam with a 38% fuel lobe. Bear in mind my dyno was on a Mustang dyno, I will leave it up to you to calculate the difference between that and a Dynojet.

No thanks... I consider myself a 1.7L purist, love the instant torque, blower whine, and don't plan to go over 900 wheel, so I can't seem to justify the cost of the 2650.

Now, if I was planning a 1,000+ rwhp build. I would absolutely be looking in that direction, or TT.

Yes sir, seems like all the Youtube builds show an approximation. delta of 100 between peak HP and peak TQ. Seen several with my mods, and a proper low side hit 850rwhp and 750rwtq +/-

My aim is for greater efficiency by teasing out as much restriction as possible. My current set up is clearly negatively affected by the blower port, as my boost drops noticeably, from peak to redline, whereas all of the X-port graphs show boost climbing till redline on 95% I have seen.

Although I love 815rwtq, I think the car might actually be faster and my stock clutch and drivetrain may last longer with a little more top and and a little less peak torque.

They say you lose some low tq with the X port

Your setup will be faster with an X port. Especially over 6000 rpm. That's really all that matters as long as you have the fueling for the additional airflow.

Thank you for the feedback. Thats what I am expecting. If I do the X-Port it will be in conjunction with a low-side... as I am already maxing out my OEM low side...

How much torque do you think I would lose?

Do temps benefit any from the X-port over the standard port?
