I keep it in 5th because I feel car is working hard going below 75 or even 80 with a hill if I am in 6th and most of my drives are short and below 80.. I occasionally put it to 6th if traffic is clear.. Also I like some reserve power while driving than just cruising.. may be a habit from riding motorcycles.. I might not be doing it the right way especially for gas mileage.
