If I remove the wrap, I hope I don’t have something similar. But if I do, maybe it’ll be where the stripes land!

Should be no problem to use knifeless on top of vinyl or ppf. But also keep in mind vinyl isn't supposed to be left on forever. I took mine off after 6 years with no issues at all though. I guess it depends how much it sun it sees and quality of the vinyl. Knifeless can also make perfect butt joints, it's a bit of a process but it works, I just did it on my new dd ft bumper with Avery CF vinyl.
