I have seen data flip flopping on what flows better. I don't think it makes a big difference either way. Oem uses dry filters...my Rotofab dry filter looks good after 13k miles and 6yrs. I blow it out yearly with compressed air from the inside to get the crap out of the channels. If/When it gets shitty looking, I'll buy another. I am not dicking around with washing and reoiling. If that is what you prefer, all good.

I was always under the impression a dry filter would flow more/make more power. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...54&postcount=7
As far as the oil coating the MAF, I remember that was always talked about on LS1tech. One builder/tuner actually told me he has seen issues with this. But I do believe this could be when the filters are cleaned, too much oil is added. I ran a K&N with a SSRA in my 4thgen. I cleaned it/re-oiled it many times. Never had a problem with the MAF. Just for the hell of it, I got one for my current car too.

When the filter is pushed towards its max, the oiled filter always flows more than the dry. If you have an NA LT1, you won't be reaching maximum flow and there will be little to no difference in power.
Now when you get into an LT4 setup with pulleys, ported blower and larger throttle bodies, the Big Gulp comes only in wet form because it needs the extra flow from the wet filter vs the dry. Don't overthink it. Wet flows more than dry.
