I have no need for this but still am shopping. lol

When I priced it out, my total is $130 for the 1.8" extender and black engraved slammer. Clearly, I must be doing something wrong.

Well damn... I bought it and some other stuff anyway!

So... does an extender work without a collar?

Was you able to use the discount code? yes it works without the collar. The collar is there if you want to make it look good but you dont need it unless you really like that attention to detail. $130 bucks not bad for this shift knob you will be excited when you use it, I'll be here to see what people think about it. My brushed one was cheaper by $30 so that's why mines was a tad cheaper

I like the look of your collar but they were all sold out.

So, instead I bought a bunch of stuff because it was a good deal. I don't know if I'll actually like the extender besides the look but again, for the price, might as well try!

I purchased all this for $159 shipped:
- R Icon Plate Frame × 2
- Icon Sticker × 2
- R Icon Keychain × 2
- Slammer - 2016-2022 Camaro - 6 Speed Reverse Right & Up × 1 Black Matte
- Shift Knob Extender × 1 Black / Short (Raises Shift Knob Height - 1.8in)

The deal is too hard not to pass up! You can order the boot collar from another shop online just doing a quick google search should find those. I like the Shift Knob Extender since I am taller I can shift alot better but the best part abotu it we not married to it, we can take it off and go back to the short throw style and still enjoy the car. I really like the slammer. I may get the Ashiko in Matte Red to enhance the interior a bit because once they gone they gone.

There's not many shift knob options for this car (nice design, GM...), and I'm not a fan of the OEM shifting feel - it's a weird combo of a long throw, low shifter height, notchiness, and effort.

So, I couldn't resist and got a similar setup as Blackmonba6gen. Hopefully the extra height and mass smooths things out a bit. I wish I wouldn't have waited/compromised (I prefer the shape of the - sold out - TI knob).

I was able to to get the boot collar from frsport.com (Eurosporttuning wanted over $40 for shipping alone lol).

Trust me, it will. I am glad you was able to describe with the OEM shifting feel, thats exactly what I am dealing with. Plus i dont have to worry about freezing my hands off with the AC on lol.

Thanks for the recommendation. I ordered the boot collar from frsport too. Should get it all by end of the month. No idea if I'm gonna like any of it but it sure looks pretty online! lol

I know some like lightweight shift knobs and they have some options as well in the clearance section.

Go to their site and check it out while supplies last. They shift knobs are made of stainless steel.

Here is the one I purchased with an extender and it was shipped to my door for $90 with everything I needed.

Shift Knob Name: The Slammer
Weight: 1.4lbs

The heaviest one they offer is Ashiko at 1.6lbs.

This the best mod I added to the car by far.
Gots to be cold as hail in the winter time.

I never seen a T shifter before in a 6th Gen! That's a first. The way I drive I dont think it will be feasible for me to shift especially track days unless i switch the shifter head to a ball mount but to each its own.

I do like the look of the OEM setup and how the shift knob feels in the hand. Nothing wrong with staying stock.
