Raceseng Shift Knob

For those who drive manuals and would like to upgrade your shift knob to a weighted one be sure to check out Raceseng. They make high quality products and they are made to order. Unfortunately they are going out of business and giving 40% off site wide. They have some weighted shift knobs which changed my shifting and driving experience dynamically.

I know some like lightweight shift knobs and they have some options as well in the clearance section.

Go to their site and check it out while supplies last. They shift knobs are made of stainless steel.

https://raceseng.com/collections/camaro-2016-2022 discount code: BF40 (40% Site Wide)

Here is the one I purchased with an extender and it was shipped to my door for $90 with everything I needed.

Shift Knob Name: The Slammer
Weight: 1.4lbs

The heaviest one they offer is Ashiko at 1.6lbs.

This the best mod I added to the car by far.

Looks great! Thanks for the heads up on them going out of business. I've been meaning to order one, so guess I need to get on it!

Bet that thing is awesome in the summer heat Lol tried an aluminum shift knob once and put the stock leather one on a few years later. Used to carry a baby sock to cover it when it was too hot or cold. Looks like a quality shift knob!

I've never considered that the weight of a shift knob would affect shifting, but it makes sense. Cool looking.

Exactly what I was thinking. Grab that sucker mid-summer after some glancing sun rays heat that sucker like superman heat vision. Have the 6-speed tattooed to your palm

I can definitely see an advantage to a heavier weight as far as feel goes. Would make a shift feel a little more effortless. Dip it in a composite of some kind to reduce temperature extremes and that'd be a nice shifter. Probably feels good as is, so long as temps are moderate. I do get a bit of sweaty palm when I'm driving aggressively, could also play out poorly trying to grab a stainless steel shifter knob. Had that issue with my '08 Mustang with a Hurst short throw. The ball was fairly small and was a plastic composite. A little palm moisture with an aggressive shift and a stiff gate was a missed gear. Though in the Vegas heat, it was less white knuckling and more lack of adequate air conditioning

LOL its funny you mentioned that. I bought a shift knob hoody for it so far its been good but well see when the true heat comes back. Overall the shift knob quality is wayy better than stock. Worst case I can powdercoat it I am thinking and that would get rid of it but all my windows tinted including windshield so well see.

I didnt either till i got tired of cleaning the stock shifter every month or so from track driving and weekend drives. Overall it is definitely made the experience alot better than before.

LMAO! The company do have matte finishes i just chose it to match the interior and I do have a shifter hood for it that protects it from the sun and it keeps it warm. But it does feel as in because my cabin is usually cooler than outside temps due to the tint. My buddy has the hurst shift knob and seen mine and installed bought one and said its wayyyy better than hurst and alot heavier. The hurst one was too light for him but Ashiko one he bought was the perfect fit for him.

I never thought of powder coating. I wonder how it would hold up against skin oils/sweat after extended use.

Aww man you got the tow hook & titanium lug nuts I want. I wish they had them in short lugs instead of long ones. If you decide to part ways with that tow hook let me know. It looks sooo good. But i am sadden by the news as well. Superb products for those who know about them

I was considering the titanium one but they sold out. If I would have seen that picture a month ago I probably would have got one (looks great!). The slammer looks good, too. Unfortunately, there already sold out of the shift boot collars for the Camaro as well.

I agree! You can find some boot collars from other sites but you'll be paying full price for them but go ahead and get one while you can with the Ashiko in brushed finished and you'll have a nice setup.
