So here is where we are. Tuner believe the issue is not with the tune or the trans, its the TCM. Before my car went into the shop for a heads and cam package, I was out in "mexico" getting some runs in and at the time it went over a small bump under WOT. I thought at the time, the wheels got some air and the car free rev to redline a few times prior to going into limp mode and sounding terrible. The car went straight to the shop for engine diagnostics and H/C package. Now I am thinking maybe what happened that night might have done something to the TCM, which resulted in the way it is acting today. Tuner suggested I can get a T87A TCM and flash the tune in and it should be good to go. However I would have to get it from HHP and it cost quite a bit lol. It got me thinking, if its just my TCM that is bad, why can I not just get another brand new T93 from HP Tuner for 400 unlocked for my VIN. So my question is, have anyone seen a T93 TCM go bad before?
Would you rather spend $1K on the T87A from HHP with a good chance that it will work, or would you take the chance that maybe you just need a new T93 TCM because the old one crapped out and only spend $400? I am leaning toward a new T93, reasons being that I can not be the only T93 ZL1 making 1Kwhp and having this issue. If it was common, then there should be alot of attention and everyone on the T93 would be switching to the T87 but I do not see that happening much, so I am betting that perhaps its just my TCM is bad and just need a new one. The car was shifting fine at 900whp prior to the incident. What do you guys think? The shop is good, so I trust their judgement, I am just trying to figure out of it is a common issue in the T93 TCM or not. I also don't want to spend more than I need to cause I just finished the HC package.. |

For those who want to see a log, I have attached one. The issue is on the 6-7 shift.

I think with that kind of power your issue is a stock TCM.

-Reported torque & Cylinder Airmass is low for a 1000 rwhp car. This lowers Trans line pressure and the A10 at 1000rwhp needs all the help to make the 6-7 shift. Torque management during shift seems to be reduced as well -Looks like MAF curve was reduced by close to 50% unnecessarily. DI injectors still have lots of room -IMO, Timing is very conservative for E70. I really doubt that car is making 1000rwhp, probably 900rwhp or so -What drive mode did you have? I don't know what is "Pattern A" . "Pattern B" is sport/track mode and tour is "Normal" . |

I believe MAF is tweak because we run the THP port injection with the reflex so that could be why. I do these runs in track mode, Pattern A, Pattern B is just shift point and mph I believe, I am also not a tuner but that's what it in the VCM editor. Attached best 60-130 for this setup so far. |
