Fuel Pump/Bose Amp submerged

Got a couple inches of water under my trunk lid, Vacced it out yesterday. first I lost ALL sound (volume knob shows nothing, can't select radio on head unit (display fine), no turn signal noises, park assist disabled. I'm assuming this means the amp is fried? And apparently a replacement has to be programmed by a Chevy dealer? Also my fuel pump control module "MIL Activation Requested". I'm hoping they dry out in the next week. The control module is a nice easy fix, I'm really worried about the amp. Anyone have any experience with this? 2016 2SS

Couple inches could be very expensive here, you’re probably getting the CEL due to the rear fuse box. That’s on the right side of the trunk compared to the Amp on the left. If your amp’s damaged then the fuse box is too. Replacing both would be the best step imo, also check for corrosion on the wiring harnesses

Fuse box bottom was just above water level, Pump was submerged.

QUICK FINAL UPDATE

Car is up and running, here's what happened.
1. Fuel pump monitor dried up and began working normally (after the short killed the battery so bad I to pull it and buy an actual charger, as the trickle charger did nothing)
2. Fuse box was not affected
3. Amplifier was a complete loss, I tried pulling it, and cleaning it, but it was a goner. Before buying one from GM for $700 and $200 for programming (I would self install) I figured I'd give EBay a shot. I found a Bose amp from a 2016 ZL1 (same model year, SS vs ZL1) for $200. The part # was different, but the model number on the sticker matched. I plugged it in and it worked! No programming necessary. I was pretty sure this wasn't going to work as everyone said it wouldn't but I figured maybe it would just need to be programmed, but it worked 100% out of the box. Went to AutoZone and bought a generous amount of Dielectric grease to completely fill the connection ports as I still don't know how the water got in. Hope this helps someone.

Good to hear about your success with this nightmare issue! Here are some resources for you to consider as you troubleshoot the source of the leak:

1. A TSB on the issue notes the availability of a 30mm trunk drain fitting from GM that you might want to install: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=14

2. This thread shows a (failsafe?) homebrew option to relocate items from the floor of the trunk: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=613210

3. Last but not least (you might want to start here): The wiring harness that runs under the trunk lid has been found to be one source of leaks, perhaps mainly on pre-refresh cars, when it gets caught between the trunk and weatherstripping. See this thread for a video and photos suggesting a modification designed to address this potential source of leaks: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=626300

Thanks Mav... I'm gonna keep a close eye on it and drill a hole if necessary
