I disagree about using it for a daily driver. I find it to be an excellent daily driver. I live 6 miles from work so the miles pile on slowly. It's well mannered enough to sit in bumper to bumper traffic, clutch leg fatigue is annoying but tolerable. It's an absolute beast on the highway. It's comfortable enough for a long road trip. The non-MRC suspension is firm but not punishing on our shitty NJ roads. Obviously its not the most practical car. If I'm hitting Lowes or Home Depot for something large I'm taking the wife's Malibu. If there's a snow storm I can work from home. If it's raining it gets wet. Finally, I do understand my situation is not the same as everybody else but this works for me. I get to enjoy my hobby everyday and most importantly, the wife is cool with it.

I DD mine too. I still don't put on a ton of miles (works out to around 6000 Miles a year it seems). It's a comfortable car to daily for sure. Makes the drive home from work so sweet, and melts the stress away.

However, I do have a truck I drive when it's raining and during the salty winter months. Not that I never drive it in the rain, like if it rains while I'm out or it's just a little rain.

Straight up...they are just better looking in the front. If we could get a 2018 Front with the 2019+ rear. That would be the sweet spot imo.

16 - 18 were the first years I tried to find when looking for a 6th gen SS. I didn't want a 40k mile car for $35k though. So settled on this low milage 19 SS for $33k I found. Only saving grace is the color scheme. It flows pretty nice for a 19. Still will probably swap out bumpers for a 2020+ plus front at some point in this cars future.

If I could have found a 17 - 18 with under 20k miles for $35k or under I would have pulled the trigger in a heart beat...long as it was manual lol.

yeah that's where i disagree. the rears look awful too. the line around the bottom cuts too deep. it looks bad. 16-18 was chevrolet styling. clean, sharp , modern. the guy who did the 19's has no business there, or the new chief engineer either. Ed Welburn never would have let that into production.

16-18 ss is my favorite thats why i got one lol but yup i agree i see more 16-18 models driving around than newer ones and it probably doesnt hurt that they are getting cheaper now lately so ive seen more younger kids driving them also

I suspect this is another source of lost upgrade sales. There is no way I could look at the new front or rear end on my car every day, and I know I'm not alone.

Idk man, this front has really grown on me. I think the 1LE splitter with the black paint makes it look pretty aggressive. As for the rear, I much prefer the 19+ because 16-18 looks too much like a carry over from the 14-15 IMO. I will say though, I'm disappointed that after '19, only the 1LE got to keep the nice rear diffuser in the glossier black finish.


Regardless, the one thing that never changed since '16 is the side profile, which to me is just awesome (I'm sure most agree on this). If I'm not mistaken they narrowed the side windows from the 5th gen, giving it even more of that sleek yet retro look.

This mainly applies to the SS and ZL1s because I see tons of post face lift LS to LT1s but I RARELY see another post 2019 SS. Seems weird that a 3 year car is much more common than a 6 year/Current car.

You have to remember there was Covid lock downs in 20 and 21 that messed up production. I ordered my 2020 the day of the lock down. They said normal production time was 16-18 weeks. Car was delivered 3 1/2 weeks later. Guess they were only working on special orders only for a while due to upcoming parts shortage.

Indeed the side profile is mean and fantastic throughout all 9 model years.

As to the rear end, though, I hardly see a single shared line between the 2015 and 2016 rear ends, so I'll just leave this pic here, not wanting to rehash the "amateur design discussions" we've had over the years . Suffice to say, this topic isn't entirely subjective, and AZCamaroFan hit the nail on the head in many ways.

I meant more the lights. The lines are obviously much different.

I see the opposite. Almost all Camaros in Albuquerque have the 2019+ tail lights.
