Before covid destroyed the markets and made dealers think they would forever be able to absolutely screw the consumer, I seem to remember that camaros were the read-headed step children of the pony car world. Always sold like shit and always carried big rebates including ZL1s.

This will be again mark my words. And I wont be one of those that feels the need to scramble out and get one WELL over what they should normally sell for. Hell people did that with the last call hellcats, and now there are literally hundreds and hundreds of them sitting on dealer lots not moving. If Im patient and find the right motivated seller, I will get one for a great deal. That is the point. There's nothing wrong with getting a great deal, and I assure you(not that I need to), that Im not going to be flipping anything.
If you see no value in the new motor, full PPF, and 10yr/100,000 mile warranty; my car is not the one for you. Without those things, I’d be much closer to $50,000.

To the contrary, the new motor makes this car a TMU or true mileage unknown car technically. Once the motor and rest of the car have been separated/changed, you have different mileage on the motor compared to the rest of the car. States used to brand titles for that and it was a big negative. Especially if the dealer did it. No way I'd trust a dealer to pull a long block and put in a new one without issues. If you got that outcome, then you dodged a bullet.

But no the new motor is not a value add not by any stretch and any dealer or car appraiser will tell you that.

That’s your opinion which you are certainly entitled too. As I said, my car is apparently not the one for you. Please refrain from posting any further on this thread and leave it to those that may are interested and want to discuss a potential transaction.

lol stop spewing BS. While I agree that his price is a little high his car is not a tmu. The car still has the miles stated on the odometer. It literally does not matter that the motor was replaced when it comes to tmu since it was replaced with a brand new long block with documentation both physically and most likely on the carfax. If it were a used motor that would be a problem but the motor having less miles than the car is not something that devalues a car. GM does not etch vin’s on their motors so there is no longer such thing as cars being numbers matching. No one can ever tell the motor came out in this car. Tmu only applies in instances where there’s a mileage discrepancy on the carfax, odometer stopped working or it looks like the mileage got tampered with. My dad was a dealer and I grew up looking at cars at auction and actual tmu cars.

I used to appraise cars for carmax for a few years. Im well aware what TMU is and how it applies both in what you posted and also here. Motor swaps are 100% TMU cases. The engine having different mileage than the body/chassis is the absolute true definition of TMU. Dealers service info is not reliable as cars change hands. The only reliable source for information is title. Not carfax or dealer service history. And when title reflect mileage that doesnt match the engine, thats TMU. Sorry but it is.

OP good luck with the sale. If you dont get anywhere and want to consider a price near my offer, I have cash and will wire.

Seems to me you’re having trouble with the fact that prices aren’t what you believe they should be. Secondly COVID did happen and yes dealers screwed customers and people paid up. Thirdly that BS line dealers say about Camaro’s not being made anymore, uh…… yeah that’s real.
You state that you’re not going to pay well over what they normally sell for? What’s normal, normal was when, five years ago? Normal is more money. Do you go grocery shopping and tell the store you’re not going to pay more because you KNOW what the price should be.
The man has a price, if your a real buyer, PM him like a real buyer would. If not, I’m sure he doesn’t appreciate your negative input within his ad.

He's a troll shit talking all over the forums and won't reply when his nonsensical claims are called out with evidence.
