The LGX and LGZ are considered to be a newer generation version of the GM 3.6 V6 engine. It featured big changes including different block architectures and bore sizes. This version of the engine supports features like cylinder deactivation and updated variable valve timing.

Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation) and Auto Stop-Start system generate fuel savings of 9 percent compared to the 3.6L V6 LFX

The V6 manuals do not.

It's similar to how they did the 5th gen SS models.... the V8 manual didn't, but the auto's did. The LS3 and the L99 were basically the same engine with different lifters and cam. Yes, there's more to it than just that but I kept it basic.

Does the NRT AFM module have ANY effect on a m6?
I did not know that AFM was not present on M6"s and purchased the NRT Blue version last year. I plugged it in, it turned blue as it was supposed to and I thought all was well until I saw this thread.
Should I just sell it or is there any benefit in keeping it?
I know, I am an idiot wasting that kind of money without thoroughly looking into it.
