2018 ZL1 M6 Transmission Rattle

Started hearing a slight rattle on pre-owned ZL1 with 4K miles on it. Sounded like it was coming from behind the supercharger. Appeared to go away when RPMs were above 1,500 and car was warmed up (normal operating temps). No other issues other than the rattle when initially starting the vehicle. Have since put about another 3K miles on it with the rattle still there.

Took it in to the dealership to try and figure out what is going on with it. Dealer has had the car 3 weeks and no definitive answer. Dealer reached out to GM Engineers for assistance. Tracked the noise down to coming from the transmission. Dealer is saying it may be the flywheel or the clutch. Thoughts? The vehicle has 7K miles on it, could it really be the clutch? I don't drive the car hard, it is my daily, with occasional spirited pulls, but I don't drive it hard.

I agree, rule out that fuel line in the linked thread.

That fuel line issue sounds different. That is more of a tapping sound. My sound is more of a "rattling marble" sound that is more metallic.

Some of them have been varied in noise, hence why I would suggest it. It's probably not it, but since this is another "noise" issue that has a TSB, I would suggest at the very least, eliminating it.

I agreed that listening to it on a headset my thought was not the fuel line but I would rule that out.
