If it into first put in reverse and bump it back a little. If doesn't want to go in reverse bump forward a little.I think the 3160 is a very good transmission. My clutch is a little tricky but we get along.

Nah, not if you now tell us how much sales the 6th gen lost over the "ZOMG!!#! my drivers don't fit" issue ... hope you're not saying this was a factor in its failure to capture the market?

I spent most of my time in 3rd and 4th gear….trying to not abuse the new engine. I kept the revs moving the whole time. So much fun. This motor has plenty of power for me and the exhaust note was intoxicating. I have the dual-mode exhaust. Putting it in Sport mode was a hoot. My buddy following me had his windows down and said it sounded excellent. The manual trans felt very good with solid shifts when going. A little stiff putting it in 1st but that will hopefully smooth out over time. Getting into reverse will take some getting used to as well. The visibility was fine after 20 minutes of driving. The interior is a nice place to be and I love the cooled seats! I also got a few thumbs up I believe due to the color, Vivid Orange Metallic. It really pops. Anyway, I think I’m going to love this car as my daily to work for sure. BTW, the mileage indicator showed 27.9 MPG when I got home. I’ll take that! Happy owner!
Congratulations! Very refreshing to hear positive and up-beat discoveries about the Camaro, contrary to what a few would have you believe is virtually impossible, like never having owned or driven a newer Camaro, finding the visibility to not be an issue. (You didn't bail out of the cabin in the showroom afraid of your own shadow like you were supposed to) lol...Very refreshing to hear.

It's a beautiful car. Good luck!

Congrats on your new purchase. Myself I have been lurking here from time to time but with the OP's post I had to reply.
I too had been lusting for a new 6th Gen Camaro since 2016 but never thought I could afford one. At just turning 57 ( Jan 2014) my wife surprised me with a BDay shock....a Divorce. So for quite a while I was messed up ..now years later Im doing fine. So last April I bought a new 2023 2LT Camaro with 6 Speed Manual ( a must have) and Im loving it so far.
This is the 1st brand new Car I have purchased in (gulp) 36 years... wife..house..kids were priority.. so now its time for me at 66 years young.
This is my 3rd Camaro.... had a 69 Z28...sold 21 years ago.... then a 77 Z28... wife hated it kept complaining about it.... now is my time.
Again congrats it is true for those who wait... good things happen.
L.P.

Love the hills and winding roads. Suggestion, get the front end PPF and change the rear diff fluid at 5k miles. Maintenance says every 45k but get the first one done at 5k there will be a lot of crap in it first time.

Laurie Bass: Wow, great post, story, and pics. I had to look up where Lunenburg Academy is - Lunenberg, Nova Scotia, CA. Nice building!

Thanks very much.. Yes Lunenburg is about 16 kms.. 10 miles from where I live Bridgewater Nova Scotia....on the East Coast. I fell in love with the Adrenalin Red interior... my 1st time with the leather interior. I quite like the car ...as my 28 year old son says... "Camarhoe".... " Hoe" for short.

I just spend a bit more time checking my mirrors.. blind spots,,, before heading out from a stop. Ive never had a car that handles like this one...love it

LOTS of folks here did first diff change at 1500 along with the second oil/filter change (first at 500).

1000 mile update: this LGX is so smooth…. Revs with no vibration whatsoever. A real dream to row the gears on my favorite back roads. More than enough power to keep me entertained especially when you stay between 4-6k rpm’s. So much fun. The NPP exhaust sounds great….most of the time. I don’t care for the “honk” it makes when you give a too much throttle under 3.5k rpm’s or when way up in the rpm’s when going balls out. A bit “shouty” for my taste. Other than that it sounds flat out awesome when just driving and Erving it out a bit. Really growls! The other thing is I can’t wait to ditch these run flat tires. They are noisy and feeling hard as rocks even with 34 psi all around. Next year I’m upgrading the wheels and tires to something more beefy. The car will look even better with wider wheels in the back for sure. It really needs it. I also will be adding a rear swaybar and getting a more performance alignment to make the handling dynamics even better. One more thing….I don’t like the little digital scroll display in the center of the gauge pod. Looks pretty bad. Poor design and looks low budget. Almost like my son’s ford focus. I keep it on the digital speed view and hate it. This is especially hard after seeing the awesome looking display on the SS and higher trim models. That looks incredible. I’ll have to get over it. Anyway Love love this car!

The factory camber spec on the Lt is .5 degrees negative camber, the ss negative .75. When I got my first alignment on of my front tires was .2 neg. My advice is to get 1.3 negative camber on front and .75 on rear. It will act like adding a bigger rear bar and it's cheap and easy. I would try 30 psi in the tires. The tires will work better in the dry the more the tread wears down but definitely replace with non run flats when the time comes.

I drove the V6 M6 four years and absolutely loved it. I haven't drove an I4, but IMO the LGX version handles better than any of the other non-1LE versions while maintaining a superior ride quality.
