The Ford dealer with the 2016 emailed today. I got back to him and got him to offer it for $29k out the door. I'm looking to pay about $24k. This is the car with 80k on the clock, but it is in pristine condition, and drove great. I didn't notice anything sketchy at all, in the short time I was driving it. I'm going to ignore and texts and emails for a few days. The end of the month is coming, I'm betting he'll continue to play limbo with me.

I probably drove by that car a few wks ago on my vacation. I love FL roads that are not too crowded. It's all flat compared to up here in the northeast. Cant get non ethanol gas up here either. I can't really comment on the car. I haven't owned one of these for a long time. I did notice it never had the trans flush according to the carfax. I know some of those 8spds had the shudder issue. Maybe it never had that issue.

CarEdge indicates it's been sitting there 85 days... I think you're wise to run the clock on them a little longer, although there's always a risk.

Or… you could wait a few months and potentially buy one for sale up North. Camaro’s don’t sell all that well up here, especially heading into and during winter. And just because it’s for sale up north, doesn’t mean it was driven in the snow, or for that matter it could be an auction car from down south. Just an idea though, good luck… prices are crazy.

Thanks, guys. I'll be patient. Worst comes to worst I'll pick up a 2010 or something for half the $, and bide my time.

Can someone explain the shudder issue for me? Like I said, I didnt notice anything sketchy. Thanks.

In Laymans terms because I’m not good at explaining, The transmission can make some weird noises/vibrations and they have upgraded the recommended oils to help solve the problem but it usually comes down to frequent changes to mitigate the issue, something to do with friction tolerances between the clutch packs, I think

I believe the shudder issue with the A8's had to do with the wrong fluid from factory, which damaged the converters. If a fluid flush did not correct the shudder, the next step was to replace the torque converter.

Another newb (to performance cars) question:
Many have seen on here I will be getting my 2024 2SS CE, 6M coupe, fairly soon (praying ships before the strike) what fuel do you all use? My first guess is Premium, but should I be using blue handle Ethanol Free instead?

Isn't that 87 octane?

It does look to be in decent shape from the photos. Keep us updated!

I always get a chuckle when nobody ever cleans the exhaust tips..and the outers are just black LOL. I wouldn't expect a dealer's wash bay to be that detailed, but you see actual owners with their cars like that.
