This thread makes me sad. Except Keko, that is what the MPG should look like.

Thanks, man.

I have no regrets except not having done this sooner, but COVID got in the way.

I hung on to my 2010 SS for 13 years and enjoyed it, but this new car is so incredible! It will be broken in in a couple of weeks and then off to the drag strip. Finally I will be keeping up with the Audi grocery getters.

The 2010 was at 13.5 seconds, and I'm expecting 11.5 with this car, stock. Quite an upgrade!

I bought my 17 with 33k mikes on it, already pullied, LT’s and a tune and on my first road trip I gave it the cruise at 68mph for 45 minutes and got over 25mpg.

Fast forward to cam, ported tb & blower and I do well to hit 20 mpg.

Hit the loud pedal though…

Good to see someone who knows how to drive a V8 Camaro.I average around 27.5 mpg with my v6 m6. A lot of V8 Camaro drivers say their mpg is that good.

I've never checked my mileage once, but my favorite part about the gas guzzler tax is that you also get to pay sales tax on that tax. What a country!

Not sure why you guys think going down the highway with a pack of other vehicles in dense traffic would somehow justify keeping the V8 in a low gear, say, to brag about single digit fuel economy.

I wish I lived in an area with no traffic, but that's not the case, so sometimes you just cruise in top gear at 1500 rpm, and that's where these good numbers (25-26 mpg in my case) are coming from. Obviously when I'm driving "properly", mpgs never reach 20, sometimes even 10, but the car is capable of both extremes and anything inbetween.

I drove a lt1 6m owned in the same rural area I'm in and the avg. read 22.4. I have seen some lt1 6m have averages in the teens. So with a 6m the v6 clearly uses less fuel.

100% agree - my regular DD around town driving is in the teens mpg as well but recently went on a ~1,000 mile round trip to/from West Virginia and had plenty of highway miles where traffic was moving ~70-75. For that I just let it cruise in 6th gear ~1500 or so RPM and get similar ~25-28 mpg for those stretches. When in that situation I am happy to use the engines low rpm power to save some gas and gas money for when things open up more!

Sadly, I wish you did not mention this. What a double whammy slap in the face.

my 2ss A10 with 93 octane pure gas I can easily get 29mpg @60mph

that's with the range device plugged in
E0 is an easy 1-2 mpg increase in pretty much any vehicle (hwy mpg)
