Touche'

Your point is well taken and I still have an open mind that it's possibly a placebo as you've stated.

Vs. everyone else telling him not to believe his lying eyes?

So having only 5 posts makes me wrong? What exactly did I claim that you have a dispute with? It is not my intention to roll up in here and start a fight. I just happen to have a lot of first hand experience dicking around with LFP batteries.

I can't and didn't speak to OP's specific situation. Just gave information related to LFP batteries and how they are different from lead acid. This is super basic knowledge that can easily be googled.

I don't know what marketing you are referring to. I source raw cells and make packs for my projects.

Believe, don't believe, not my problem. I'd tell you to go give one a try, but I wouldn't recommend using one on a street car, or something you need to rely on. They are great, but the narrow safe operating temperature window makes them not suitable for a street car IMO.

Lithium titanate is a great chemistry for cold weather, but they are harder to get and more expensive.

I have an Antigravity lithium battery in my ZL1 for over 2 1/2 years now. No change in performance. Believe, don't believe, not my problem. Sorry but I'm not buying what you're selling. I bought it for the weight decrease because every little bit counts.

I never said the electrical characteristics of the battery would necessarily make your car faster. The weight savings absolutely effects performance...

It just doesn't sound at all crazy to me that OP noticed a difference switching batteries. You do notice (and can log) the difference in the electrical system from lead acid to LFP.

Personally I had to retune all my starting and cold temp fuel tables, and adjust my injector dead time / voltage to compensate for the LFP battery. Different car, different fuel, apples and oranges, but it illustrates the effect the electrical characteristics can have.

I'm not selling anything, and I think you will come to regret spending that much on the battery when it fails prematurely. that is unless your car lives a very cushy life in a temperature stable environmnet.

No regrets, I do live in a stable temp environment.

Well friend, incase you weren't aware, if the battery is below freezing and you start the car you will damage the battery. Unless you have some way of preventing the alternator from sending power to it.

Don't take my word for it though, I'm sure its plainly stated somewhere in the battery manual.

No worries, my ZL1 stays in the garage year round.

Just keep it in mind if your going to do a road trip or something like that.

For me, the hassle of even having to think about it as a constraint on what I could do with the car became a problem.

The tires carry that constraint anyway. So not sure where you’re going with this

Who's talking about tires right now?

Anyway, I think its common knowledge for most people that you cant run summer tires in the cold. LFP starting batteries are by no means common, and I was just trying to share information about them.
