I just got a screw in my rear eagle F1 supercar 3R tire during my break-in miles.
Should I let the dealer try to fix it or just buy a new tire. I plan to track the car and want to live! Not sure if fixing a tire is safe?

Its shocking how someone with a ZL1 could ask such a stupid question! A car that's capable of doing 170+ mph u think shoving a $1 plug is smart long term? Replace if in budget/ patch always asap

Shoving a goo stick in a tire might be okay for most of you grandma drivers, anything high speed/or putting Load on the tires such as cornering etc its asking for the Darwin award. A while back a Michelin engineer said that even patching is not recommended if doing track work or intense load activity on the tires as the structural integrity is compromised

I've been known to say stupid things before, thanks! (shoulda had a v8 lol)
Ordered a new rear 3R.
Hopefully, here's a better question. The other rear has 1,200 break in miles. Should I get two new rears so they are exactly the same or is 1,200 easy miles ok for the other one?
I plan to reach my 1,500 right about when my first track event will be. Thanks

you should be alright depending on the wear on the other tire. If like you said just break in miles you should be good with just 1 new tire. These 3R are mainly slicks with thread just to be "legal"

Thank you and I couldn't stand the dealer saying the tire "should be" ok so I ordered my own 3R and delivering straight to dealer where I will show up and watching them install.
Taking the one from the car and putting on my shelf as decor! lol
First track of the season at Limerock this Friday.
