This car is so divisive. Some people absolutely love it. Others hate it and want to yell at me! I'm almost to the point where I just keep my windows up in traffic, because people always want to chat - either to compliment me and ask questions about the car, or to insult me and bash it

Man, I'm glad I live in Jaw-ja where all the good-ol' boys and girls just yell "hell yeah" when it starts up!

At start up, I've had this happen so many times as well. Before I used HPTuners to tune out the "Exhaust Rumble Enable" for Touring mode. I literally would wait until "the coast was clear" before I'd start her up. Now have used HPTuners to disable Exhaust Rumble in Performance Mode 0, mode 3, S/I mode always had this disabled. Also, for touring mode I've tuned the NPP to always be closed in P, N, R and gears 1st - 7th. That's just how I feel I need it, so I don't freak out the unexpected. But it was pretty funny to see peoples jump scares when I'd fire her up when they were not expecting it !

lol yes, that initial fire up is LOUD. I can't do anything about it now, with the plain jane MBRP axle back

It's all EVs and luxury cars out here now. Trucks too, but very few have modified exhausts. People aren't used to loud cars anymore.

I don’t take my ZL1 to the gym in the morning before 6am to avoid waking the neighbors. I’ve recently been starting it with the garage door closed in the morning. I wish it started with the valves closed in the factory tune.
