So, I went by Hollywood casino last night here in town in the ZL1. I pulled in the front and under the old Valet area canopy (kind of like a tunnel), my car sounds totally BADASS when I'm idling in that parking area! I backed in to an open spot, right beside a new Jaguar F-Type R (sweet looking car). I gave my car a little exhaust rumble and shut her off. As soon I got out of my car, this guy outside having a smoke, starts rapidly walking toward me. As he's approaching me, he's saying very loudly "Bull - S***, Bull - S***, I call B.S.". I said excuse me, as I thought the guy was upset cause I parked by his car. Nope, that wasn't it at all. He said "I call BS", let’s go, lets race". I was like: "What! I'm not racing you". He said "yeah, come on, I call Bull-S***". I said “bro, what’s your deal?” I started walking toward the casino’s front door and he gets into his car, he started it up and then pegged his rev-limiter for like 20 seconds straight. I was so hoping his car would blow up. But seriously, WTF!!!!

You are very brave, in two ways, even acknowledging him and leaving your car there with him around. I haven't run across anybody with or without my car , that's a horrible person .
I would ignore and not make eye contact . And if they were to escalate the situation, I would get out of Dodge . Arizona is a open carry and no conceal weapons permit is required state . As told to me by a local police officer, this is the Wild Wild West. Most people I talk to at Cruise ins, Car Shows , I ask the question (after we are in conversation for a while ) Do you Carry , most do, In the case of running into a horrible person, and the HP escalate the situation into a life threatening situation.

WOW! All good points... I was literally just not prepared for that reaction from someone out of the blue. As I walked away, I did think to my self, what if that idiot key's my car? But there are like 1000 cameras around that place. So at least it would be on a video if he did do something to my car. I do carry, but not at the casino as it's not permitted and if you get caught, you can be banned in Ohio from ever entering a casino afterward's. But yeah, I never thought about the "aggressiveness" of his actions and what could have come from them.

Oh... I didn't video it... I meant with it being at a casino, there are cameras all over the place!

DorsoDuroJohn - I literally have no clue what the guy was meaning by "BS" either. I literally think he was trying to make up for his deffiencies in "other" areas of his life. It was so strange, that's the whole reason I shared it.

Hmmm... it was a long drive ! But there is NO WAY I would go that fast on a free way here in the US, let alone here in Ohio !!!!

This. That was not a normal reaction by a human being at all.

All that aside, it would have been a good race. Zl1’s trap a tiny bit higher but assuming his was awd it would put power down better/easier. They are gorgeous cars but they are the definition of a grand tourer as the handling is absolutely atrocious.

Jag driver could also have had a few drinks or was upset over loosing a bunch of $$$. I’ve had someone threaten me who seemed ok before the alcohol kicked in.

Yes! Last week I was just down the street at Starbucks. When I started up my car, some older ladies FREAKED OUT. They chased me (at a slow pace) into the exit lane and were screaming at me! They said "That was completely unnecessary!" I said, lady, I just pressed the start button - I didnt rev it at all. Then they told me to get a new car, that it's a piece of sh*t, and that I was a "Tiny P**** Mother F*****!" Wish I had recorded it! LOL

Then on Sunday, I was just out for a drive and caught a red light. I decided to turn right, instead of going straight. As I angled out to make sure no traffic was coming, I revved it to get up the small incline and out, and the guy next to me just LAID on his horn for like 12 seconds as I accelerated away. I could see him in my rearview, going nuts and waving his arms at me. WTF?

This car is so divisive. Some people absolutely love it. Others hate it and want to yell at me! I'm almost to the point where I just keep my windows up in traffic, because people always want to chat - either to compliment me and ask questions about the car, or to insult me and bash it

At start up, I've had this happen so many times as well. Before I used HPTuners to tune out the "Exhaust Rumble Enable" for Touring mode. I literally would wait until "the coast was clear" before I'd start her up. Now have used HPTuners to disable Exhaust Rumble in Performance Mode 0, mode 3, S/I mode always had this disabled. Also, for touring mode I've tuned the NPP to always be closed in P, N, R and gears 1st - 7th. That's just how I feel I need it, so I don't freak out the unexpected. But it was pretty funny to see peoples jump scares when I'd fire her up when they were not expecting it !
