Never heard anything about transmission fluid. Then again, I have a M6.

its less oil, in the tranny when tracking, this is off the top of my head so please double check the temperature values for transmission oil

transmission oil pan "drain hole" its not a drain hole, but rather a level off hole as it has a standpipe in there, so when oils comes out its overfilled

they say to fill the tranny, until oil come out of the drain hole at bottom..... close and run engine until tranny fluid is 130f, promtly open drain hole let it drain until it just drips a bit....close it and done for street use.

for track same procedure but tranny oil has to be 145f , before draining....higher temp more expansion...therefor less oil

i got 25K on engine and 8 trackdays on my 2017, 1 trackday away i was coming off the track after a 25min session....drove to gasstation 6 miles away to fill up....pulling out from gastations my 8spd auto felt like a clutch wasnt grabbing, or the tires has picked up a ton of pepples....after a traffic light at the gastation, theres an slight uphill start, i could barely get the car rolling...and then all of a sudden something grabbed, it smoked the rear tires and i made it back to the track....i let it ccool down a few hours and was able to drive it home, like nothing happened.

once back home i changed the transmission oil, i had to break stance the tranny to be able to get it anywhere close to 130F....undid drain plug...and it was like having a new car, super smooth shifting, and i realized the tranny must have been adding a lot of vibrations cause the car was super smooth....i gunned it several times and it was all good

here 2 months later 1000 miles and a track day later at wich there was no issues at all...i noticed last week that, that it shiftet a little hard, so im gonna give it new transmission oil again

as for engine oil, mine has not used any oil, i keep my oil at the max level of the dipstick, as instructed by the chevy performance center in doublin, to ensure oil flow at high G, in SS models....thats why the 1LE has drysump....

1LEs don't have a dry sump oil system. That's reserved for Corvettes.

I wish the 1LE had a dry sump LT1. I'm always left wondering whether losing my engine was because of oil starvation during high G's on track.
