Great conversation, at least to start... I'm having the same high vacuum / fast fill effect since i put my motor back in with the MM CC. I will order that restrictor. Photos below of what I found in my car after about 2k miles. 1k stock, the following 1k miles running E50 + Headers + Rotofab... not good IMO.

Thanks for the teardown pics - just confirms the Elite "Ultra" can and restrictor setup is the best in the business, despite many voices claiming "x shop uses MM so it must be the best"

Multiple case studies have shown less blowby on the ICs with lid removed using Elite cans, this argument is over

Or he’s using valve covers with improper baffling…

Anyone have pics of the inside of the aftermarket valve covers so we can see baffling? I have a set of DSX covers I can post tonight. I’ve used MM exclusively for hundreds of builds when I owned a shop and they have worked perfect.

Likely the issue. The OEM valve covers have the best PCV baffling, bar none. Running other valve covers requires a restrictor in the MM setup (which is not a big deal). But this has been discussed extensively. The only aftermarket valve covers I’d consider are the new TooHighPSI ones since PCV baffling was given a ton of attention to.
