The Camaro is smaller, more purpose built car unlike the Mustang and Challenger. The mustang is a lot easier to drive (better visibility), and both the Mustang and Challenger have a lot more space.

It was a fine line for me picking between the Mustang and the Camaro, but I wanted the better chassis, more reliable engine (LT1 vs Coyote), better transmission (Tremec vs Getrag), and more rare car so I went with the Camaro. Both cars have their advantages / disadvantages.
I drove both the Mustang and the Camaro, so I tend to disagree that the Camaro is smaller inside than the Mustang.... maybe my perception, but the Camaro seems larger inside than the Mustang. Neither is large by any means...

If I didn't buy a vehicle because of some bad press/article, I wouldn't own any of the vehicles I've ever owned. There will always be someone to bash something you like.

I have had all 3

2017 Mustang
2021 Challenger Scat Pack
2020 SS

Look where I eneded up 2023 ZL1. From an owner of each one they are all good and bad in their own ways.

I can't say the article is garbage. I'm not a fanboy of any particular vehicle. Before buying this ZL1, I was looking for a Roush Jackhammer. Only one year and 200 made. 710hp and a Roush suspension. I just never found one. Then I ran across this ZL1 convertible that wasn't spoken for and bought it. The rear seat and trunk of the Camaro convertible is a joke. My 2016 Z06 convertible had a larger trunk. The Roush Mustangs are plenty fast on road courses. Jack Roush, Jr won a lot of gs races with his. Continental sports car challenge, I think. I'm not into road racing. I followed their drag racing more with Susan Roush McClenaghan. NMRA
This is a Jackhammer.

The camaro has a good sized deep trunk, the opening is just small.

I remember going into the studio with a friend around 2011 and seeing the NG Camaro. Its starting point was a 7/8ths Gen5. Didn’t look any different, just smaller.

But Camaro5 and 6 have a LOT of people that take anything negative about the Camaro as someone calling their baby ugly.

Gen6 is an awesome car. It was just designed for a very narrow and specific customer…..the Gen5 Camaro buyer.

GM even told us at launch they didn’t care about rear seat room. Remember when that said they didn’t care because Consumer Report only awards 1 point for rear seat room in a coupe so they didn’t worry about it? Yep.
I laughed when I read the part in bold. When I led the Competitor Intel team part of the job was to tell vehicle teams how the products they were working on stacked up against where we thought their competition would be when they launched. I used to tell my team “the key to this job is being able to tell someone their baby’s ugly without getting punched in the face”.

Have had all 3 as well.
2008 Mustang GT
2010 Challenger RT
2022 Camaro SS

All were great in their own way. The Challenger was the best road trip car, whereas the Camaro is the most fun for cornering and taking windy drives through the mountains. The Camaro feels most like a sports car, where’s the Challenger felt very much like a cruiser. The Challenger kind of cruised like my grandpas old Cadillac with lots of power.

The Camaro's cargo space is below average for a sports car. The coupe has a 9.1-cubic-foot trunk, and the convertible has 7.3 cubic feet. (that was a quote from C&D)

7.3 cubic feet is good sized? And that is probably with the top up. My Corvette convertible had over 10 with the top down.

I have owned all 3 cars:

2011 Mustang GT 5.0 6-speed
2015 Challenger Scat Pack 6-speed
2022 Camaro SS

The challenger was a quick cruiser. It had plenty of power, but it was just too big.

The mustang had the right proportions, and driving the current gen felt good as well to be a daily driver.

The Camaro as I stated before seemed a lot more purpose built / track ready. I have a daily driver so this was intended to be my weekend fun car.

I bought based purely on performance specs, If I wanted a luxury car I don't think GM would even be top 5. This may as well be an article complaining that a horse won't sit like a dog.

The ZLE will beat the piss out of anything in its price range on the track and is more car than most can handle.

I too have had all 3 and multiple times....
2012, 2014, 2015 Mustang GT Coupes all 6 speed manuals
2015,2021 Shaker Challenger Scat Pack both 6 speed manuals
2011 Camaro SS Coupe, 2016 SS Convertible, 2021 LT1 Coupe, 2021 SS Coupe, 2022 SS Convertible and 2023 ZL1 Convertible...all 6 speed manuals.

They all have their pluses and minuses...however I feel the 6th Gen Camaro is the best overall!
