I wish I could help you OP.

It’s sad that in over one page of posts none of them have been helpful to your actual question. I hope this isn’t an example of the Camaro community at large.

GM actually makes an exhaust for the four banger in your car. It sounds pretty good, and it includes a tune for your active noise cancellation to keep the drone away. It is expensive, but it is the only one that includes a tune. I would recommend buying it from and getting the tune from the dealer. The kit includes a tune code, and if you buy somewhere else or used, it might not be included.

I don't have a 2.0 Camaro, but I've used ZZP for other GM vehicles. They make quality exhaust for reasonable prices.

I think informing the person that they don’t have a v4 is helpful in a way. Maybe the people could have done it in a less smartass way but I think people should be informed of what they got.

Anyway op I absolutely would not do a muffler delete on any 4 cylinder engine. It will sound worse. I wouldn’t get a borla atak exhaust either. I have one on my SS but it helps the 6.2 v8 sound better whereas I don’t think you’ll like how it makes your i4 sound. It will sound close to the muffler delete. I would honestly just leave it as is.

Also you could consider trading it for a v6. While the i4 is more efficient it requires premium. Premium is roughly 60 cents more per gallon which equals about $11.50 more per tank. If you fill up once a week that’s $600 more per year. I’m not going to do the math as I’ll leave that to you (also premium might cost more or less where you live) but I would guess you’d save more money filling up with regular in the v6 versus using premium in the i4.l even though the mpg might be slightly lower in the v6. I acknowledge I might be wrong and the i4 doesn’t require premium but I thought I read on here that it does.

I’ve seen both L4 and I4 used to refer to inline engines. But the only V4 I’ve even seen is on a motorcycle.

If true, why don't we see more Iron Duke 3rd gens running across the auctions for crazy prices?

Had an Iron Duke in my '88 S-10, but mine was an I4.

OP, looks like there's some vids in this thread that may help.

LT1's are so affordable and such a better option.

Are you located in the states?

Porsche 919 LMP car that ran very successfully in World Endurance Championship (Le Mans) from 2014-2017 was a V4.

"L" head design is a flat head, like a old lawn mower, WW2 Jeep, or an old tractor. So Alan was incorrect in that description.

He was being sarcastic. There are no V4 Chevy anything. They never made a "V" 4. The Pontiac 2.5 (Iron Duke) is an "I" 4.

i've got nothing against 4's, but the way you make one sound better is to make it quieter, not louder.
