I think the 2019+ SS hood has a slightly different front curvature that only matches the 2019+ front bumper perfectly, not the pre-refresh one. Even though one may be able to squeeze it onto a 2016-2018, the front gap would be uneven.

(BTW that's hardly a surprise, I'd imagine everyone chose the car they liked the most in the first place, of course they'll think theirs looks the best.)

You guys are right. I went to one of the GM parts Online sites and looked up the "regular" hood for a '16 and a '19 and they are different part numbers.

Sorry Mustang, the current Camaro rules as a sports car. It is very BMW like and also appeals to muscle fans. And the LT1 is the most all around performance for the $$ on the planet. I still miss mine. But I also have to mention the ZL1 is still the most affordable super car on the planet! I miss those 2 Camaros the most.

Just my two cents on this, I had my 2017 2SS up until 2021...and then a reckless drunk driver decided to T bone my ex into oblivion. The hunt for a replacement camaro began and I still chose the 2016-2018 style. That being said, 2019 + looks good but there's something about the 2016-2018 front that makes it look much meaner + aggressive...almost like a proper sports car!!

I'd argue that the Gen 6 Camaro is both a muscle car and a sports car. Even today the Alpha chassis is a great chassis compared to the competition. And the 1LE is still as good a sports car as you can buy under 70k.

I agree with this even if its not a 1LE it the the car itself is still great on corners and curves. (Yes a 1LE will take the curves and corners quicker but a non 1LE can still take them great) No matter where I take mine I have a grin on my face which tells me I bought the right car that will be with me a long time. Looks wise yeah I do like the Challenger as well especially the widebody however, I also like the Camaro just as much and the Camaro is way better on the twisties than a Challenger will ever be. |
