I mean I wore them out in 3500 miles... They are well below minimum tread depth.

I don't get where you got the load rating thing. I never said anything about that in my post.

Got it. That was just my thought process, I saw your post and wondered what the reason could be, one idea was the load rating (but that wouldn't make sense), the other is treadwear, which also seemed too extreme for just 3500 miles, so I left the treadwear idea in the post.

You probably drive your car as it's intended much more than I do

OoooKaaay. Here in Canada, my pair of Nitto 555R2s is costing me $1240 Canadian installed. $1240.00 / 3500 miles = $0.35 per miles just for TIRES!

That's a little (a lot actually) heavy for my retirement budget.

Have to say, nothing rubs and they stick fantastic!

I have about 3500 miles on them now and am getting ready to order another set. Really don't think they will pass inspection this year.
Nice. Is your avatar pic with the taller tires? How do they look?

You actually have 555R2 near you? If yes, I need a pair of 335.

I bought the last available pair of 275/35-R20 555R2s in all of Canada. And if you check the Nitto 555R2 webpage, they now do not offer 335 width in the 555R2. :(

Nah, my avatar pic was 1 week after I bought the car. Still had the original GY on it. I can post a current pic later today so you can see the ride height difference.

Their site lists a 345/30R19 105W, which is even better

Ah, I forgot that you are not using the 20 inch size wheels for drag racing. I had looked at the 20 inch size table of sizes for the 555R2.

Ok, here is a pic of the car in my company parking lot with the 305/35-20s on it. And, I was incorrect about the mileage on these tires. After looking at when I bought them, I realized I bought these when I had 20,354 miles on the car. I now have 26,862 miles. So, I have just under 7000 miles on these tires.

The second picture shows the tire size.

That's what I have on my Lt1, I now have about 4500 miles on these and about 25 passes or more down the track NA and SC. Plus a bunch of hits when logging on the street. Best drag radial for the street and track. I ran them on my C7 and loved them. Drag Pac and a different set for the street.

I have a set of Nitto R2 mounted to a spare set of MRRm017s and haven't used them in a while, used them previously only for roll races, I don't like how they behave under harder cornering, I can feel them start to tuck slightly. I like how my pilot sport all season 305/30/20 feel for daily driving and rolls. I'm at 680whp
