ZL1 Spare Parts.

We, in Aussie, were lucky enough to have the Walkinshaw Group convert 2019 ZL1s to right hand drive, although only 375 were converted. The conversion was done in full co-operation with GM who insisted on a seamless conversion to full factory OE specs. The conversion was immaculate,..no complaints about the conversion have arisen about the Walkinshaw Camaro, unlike various complaints relative to some other conversion companies.
BUT, spare parts are an issue, as we have to order from the USA. So, how do you find spare parts availability, & who is the most reliable & comprehensive supplier.
As an example, one item that seems to be lacking on many sites, is genuine ZL1 wheels?
Pickles.

I believe the genuine GM wheels can be had for like an absurd $4k on AmericanMuscle. Other than that.. good luck. If you think wheels are bad hope you don’t need a trans fixed under warranty anytime soon. 3 months and counting.. and that’s in America lol

Thank you guys for your info.
My request was more of a general nature.
Not owning a ZL1 yet, I'm just making some preliminary enquiries, so that, if I do own one, I'll know where to go for spare parts, as there are virtually none in Aussie, any required would have to be ordered from the U.S.
So, I was wondering, is there a "main" , "central" point, GM "factory" outlet, which could supply any part without delay if needed.
Thanks for your interest.

GM only specialized in delayed or out of stock products these days

Not that I know, and if there were one, they'd be crowded from all angles these days and run out of stock, too...

That said, I have had much luck even recently with gmpartsdirect.com that is actually a front for a dealership service department in North Carolina. Alas, if you buy a ZL1 (assuming some of the RHD conversions from HSV are even available for sale) or import one, you'll have to make peace with taxes and higher costs for spare parts no matter what.

However, it will still be worth it IMO.

I think more dealerships are following this formula. I've bought several things from that website, and have actually gotten GREAT prices, compared to other online outlets, and far better than retail GM prices. The only bummer is shipping. A dealership minutes away started following this business plan, and except for paying tax, is prices just as good a the previously mentioned dealership/website. I don't get charged shipping now, so it's good having good prices from a place nearby now.

I think all you can do is shop around. I believe it was either the website listed above than I bought a GM wheel. They're nuts. There's a $50 core charge, too. The wheel is also manufactured in China, not that that means anything - just surprising to me. It's as "flawless" as my OEM-showroom wheels. They're just pretty $$$ is all.
