X-Pipe Worth it?
Howdy Fellas,
I am purchasing the Corsa NPP exhaust, and was planning on removing the secondary cats for more sound to go along with the exhaust. I was initially planning on buying an X-Pipe to go along with it, but now I am wondering if I should just do the secondary cat delete instead. Would there be any difference in sound or performance between the two options? Option 1: Corsa NPP with secondary cat delete Option 2: Corsa NPP with X-Pipe Appreciate the feedback |

the exhaust already has an x pipe.
removing the resonators will make the car .01% louder.

That Corsa NPP exhaust is already plenty loud, especially with the valves open in track mode.

Thanks for the input! that was my other question, is the Corsa NPP noticeably louder then stock NPP in track mode? Love the tone from youtube videos; but cant pick-up on the sound-level difference.

IMO the stock exhaust is perfect. Put the $2500 towards headers/cam/tune maybe?

I just got my kooks exhaust (headers and xpipe). Reason I decided to go with the xpipe was more anesthetics than anything. Plus I got it on sale. The ''crunched part on the stock annoyed me, but performance wise it's not really hurting.

It also is said to have the biggest difference in sound between tour and track. If you want louder, you won't be disappointed. If it isn't loud enough, you can add their x-pipe.

I have the borla atk. It’s very nice but I wanted a little more(I know it’s a totally different system). I bought the mid pipes that included the borla X pipe shortly thereafter. I didn’t notice any big difference. I’ve had it on now for 2 years so even if it needed to “break in” I still haven’t noticed a difference. I still have my secondaries so I’d vote to remove them before buying the x pipe. Just my opinion.

Best bang for the buck. Removing your secondary cats makes little difference. |
