I want some exhaust sound though,I live in Atlanta and its a bit humbling to drive around stock exhaust. Should I at least cut the secondary cats? lol

You could pull the fuse to keep npp exhaust open all the time if you haven't already?

Maybe I'm just getting old, I can't do the loud car thing anymore

That's a good way to get more sound and not spend a ton of money.

If he deletes the secondary cats then the warranty will be gone so he might as well go with headers and a tune. That’s my thinking.

What about a mid pipe with secondary cat delete? Cheaper than exhaust and gives more sound. Does this void warranty?

On my old car, I did everything backwards as far as exhaust wise but this what you can add without voiding warranty...

Rotofab CAI
Ported Stock TB
Axleback and Secondary Cat Delete
LT2 Intake Manifold

You can add e85 sensor but whenever you ready to tune it will be there.

I went to different dealers with this setup and had no problems because I still had the stock tune on it.

Secondary cats removal will add a tad sound but nothing beats headers tho.

This is not accurate.

I’d also add be careful ditching the stock NPP if you plan on getting headers and modding down the road. Some folks found the car way too damn loud once they add headers with an aftermarket axle back.

Great advice. About a $700 difference between Corsa that reuses NPP vs. the one that doesn't. Probably worth it in the long run.

So for the record,is secondary cat delete ok and will not void warranty? Besides the car being older or bought out right why would one do mods that void the warranty?

This is absolutely true. I'm glad I saved my stock NPP. After headers, I had reinstall the stock NPP muffler as the MBRP axle backs were way too loud.

after deciding on headers or exhaust are you moving on to cai or air induction?

id leave the car stock until you're ready to do bolt ons and tune, at minimum. i gave mine 14k miles before modification. i also kept all of the stock parts.

This! I've been driving my SS 1LE stock for several years now, in the Atlanta area. Yeah there are some that are a bit louder, but very few that I'm not capable of putting in my rear view mirror, regardless of how loud they are.

Lock your exhaust into Track mode rather than pulling the fuse. You'll be glad you did when you're cruising at 80 mph on 285. Less drone than if you pull the fuse.

Probably best to check with the service dept. at your dealership on that one. Mine said "no problem" unless it's something exhaust related. But my dealership is pretty easy to work with.
