First Mod Exhaust or Headers?

Hey guys, just purchased my 2022 Camaro SS 1LE and I currently am stock to the bone 500 miles. I was looking at headers with stock npp or no headers and a corsa variable exhaust or borla considered as well. My main thing is with headers I dont want to void my warranty if it needs to be tuned.Power is cool but i would like a nice sound. Thoughts on anyone who has took this path and the results from it,also considerations on what I should expect as well depending on the route I go. Thanks in advance

Headers will give you a nice sound but will need to be tuned, so you may or may not lose your warranty depending on how mod friendly your dealer is. As far as what to expect with corsa or borla, louder exhaust that sounds different from npp, that is it. Catbacks and axlebacks only change exhaust sound tone and loudness.

If you want to keep the warranty, headers are 100% out BECAUSE of the needed tune. Stock, ur pretty much limited to an axle back and rotofab.

You JUST got it. Enjoy it for a bit, do the proper break in and fluid changes. Play around with your traction control settings etc. and then decide if you need more power and/or a different sound. Those new 1LE cars are SO sweet!

I wouldn’t void the warranty for just headers. I would go axle back or just stick with the stock NPP. It sounds great with headers if you keep cats. (IMO)

Save the headers for when you can do the full package (intake/e85/cai/tb).

As others have said, headers and no tune is not an option, so go for an axle-back.

Work with some sponsors on here in your purchase. I know Borla for one restricts prices that can be advertised, but if you call you can get best pricing.

Good luck and enjoy the new car!

Agree with above reply. Set your exhaust to Track mode if you want more sound but yes headers will need a tune to run effectively and your warranty will be gone.

No, actually most CAIs are not OK and will cost you HP and/or throw codes. Rotofab standard (NOT the big gulp) will look pretty and not make anything worse.

There is a GM CAI that comes with a factory ecu update. But id personally suggest a rotofab (not the big gulp as it needs a tune).

I will say, take the car at least 5k miles before any mods, then decide.
